He did not have a current offer from ODU. Curry was originally offered by ODU August 17th. That offer was pulled when we landed Stephan Morris August 21st.
It's the JJ quiet time!!! Happens every year.
I am only looking at the ODU board recruiting chart(nothing else). Look for yourself. Anytime I mention a recruit, it comes from ODU.

Not that it is a big deal, but the ODU Sports web site lists Gerald Lee as 6'-10", 250 LBS. To answer your question, Mark West was also 6'-10".

No, it doesn’t. Verbal commits doesn’t get updated when offers are pulled.

Explain how 2020-2021 is any different? If anything its more of a small ball world now than ever. And Sports Reference and ESPN both list Gerald Lee at 6'9" School rosters are known to fudge the numbers. And Mark West was what like 40 years ago?

And I'm pretty sure they get their information from the recruit rather than the program. I remember reading that sometimes a recruit will list an offer that was never made, to bump their stock I assume.

Dear Jeff Jones. PLEASE sign somebody fast with your last slot! I come here everyday, see a new post, get excited then see it's the same old same ole stuff, over and over and over and over. BTW, you have gotten some pretty good players so far it seems for next year. BUT GET WITH IT MAN, a couple posters don't seem to even know who we have coming or how many spots we even have available and they are driving some of us nuts. HURRY. And make sure this person is at least 6"12".
Thank you Jeff.
Sincerely, Mac

I was just answering the question that YOU asked. And yes, Mark West was like 40 years ago. Most of ODU's top players didn't play for the school in the last 20-25 years according to the retired jerseys.

LOL. Read the posts above yours that you copied. The topic was regarding the heights of former ODU dominant centers. I didn't initiate the topic. I responded to their post with a minor data correction and an answer to the question the person asked in their post. If you have a problem with the topic of the post you replied to, take it up with that person (i.e. EverydayInVA).

The ODU recruiting board, shows players that they are recruiting and players that have letter of intent, also signed commitments.

The subject thread is ODU recruiting 2021. Like you and others, you get off the subject. You just continued threads on the height and former players in lieu of a 2021 thread.

To be clear it shows players they may have recruited at one time.

You are right, however we don't have the coach who can recruit big good players. The game has changed in the last several years, and JJ's recruiting savory (in today's time) is not used now. A young coach would relate better, to today's high school kids.

I am confused? The game has changed its not a big mans game anymore. JJ doesn't recruit big men. But yet we finished 5th in a one bid mid level conference?? What isn't workng?

You really don't know? OK, we didn't shoot the ball well enough, had too many long droughts, and didn't play as good a defense as we had in previous years. Hopefully, this year is better, on all counts.

I am only looking at the ODU board recruiting chart(nothing else). Look for yourself. Anytime I mention a recruit, it comes from ODU.
No, it doesn’t. Verbal commits doesn’t get updated when offers are pulled.
And I'm pretty sure they get their information from the recruit rather than the program. I remember reading that sometimes a recruit will list an offer that was never made, to bump their stock I assume.
Maybe you are right, but that information comes directly from ODU
You think someone on ODU’s staff spends time communicating with recruiting websites? I’m not saying the information is right or wrong, as others have pointed out it’s fluid. But I highly doubt anyone from ODU is updating their info.
