Don't know about Fick. USF missed 4 FGs! Ridder had back-to-back passes that should have been intercepted (one might have been a pick 6) in the 2nd last drive. For a team ranked #17, Ridder's QBR (entering game) was 67th best so he is under performing relative to team. He has not completed 20 passes in a game this year; not 15 passes in his last 5.

What does the final score have to do with how the QB played? I mean he didn't even throw for 80 yards. When is the last time you saw a college QB play a whole game and throw for less than 80 yards? And you want to tall about his running? 18 yards. Our starting QB played the entire game and didn't even account for 100 yards.
Why the hell not just have Doaks and Warren play QB/RB. Our offense would be just as effective throwing but way better running.
By all means, don't let that irrelevant final score get in the way of an opportunity to ***** about something.
Games have ups & downs for both teams. With a close game it’s easy to point to a few things and say one team got lucky or the other unlucky. But in the last 2 years we’ve come out on top 20 times out of 23, and all 3 losses were to very good or great teams. It’s not luck at that point, it’s doing enough to win where others fail to do enough.

Uggh... I'm not sure I feel any better after that response about DR's performance. If he wasn't hurt, then that means he just sucked in epic fashion. I'd prefer to think he was banged up a little.
And leaving it up to him to determine whether he plays or doesn't play? Can't you make that call as the coach, based on what you're seeing on the field? Of course Des is going to say he can play.
Obviously in hindsight I wouldn't do anything differently. We won the game after all. But I'm concerned about the next game. Temple is no joke. We will need some offense.
Great stuff. My thought for all Bearcat fans this week (myself included) who are trying to predict Saturday's outcome, Memphis, the CCG and the coming bowl scenario, is this: enjoy this experience in real time.
Ten years from now we'll all be receiving our holographic bobblehead celebrating the anniversary of one of the greatest Bearcat seasons ever, 2019.
