It was a great win last night. While I did not agree with some of the play calling at the end of regulation, TL, staff, and players and the "jewels" to pull-out a win in a v-e-r-y difficult environment.

I loved some of the other play calls. I'm not too picky or self-important...I like whatever leads to a "W"

Bottom-line, November is for contenders and the Broncos are in the hunt for a championship going into the final game. And...Lester's crew blew-out CMU earlier this season.

Good season. Be thankful and have a little fun!

Achieving an 8th win, whether that's against NIU or in a bowl game, would then qualify as an overall successful season and certainly trending in the right direction, in my book. I mean we could kick ourselves about how close we were to beating EMU, but Ohio could've went either way last night too.

I think Coach Espo gambles a bit due to the talent we have on D. We don't have lock down corners and a lot of shoulder tackling going on out there. I think it's the speed factor advantage of opponents. Have to work with what you have. If the secondary improves, get three consistent LB's the D could be a much improved force in 2020. The DT line shows promise with all the upperclassmen coming up

Think we don't miss Moment and Eskridge?

WMU does not win last night without Heyward and Claiborne. I thought we strung out their speed option relatively well and rallied to the ball (for the most part) when Rourke kept the ball. Moment and Eskridge may have very well kept things from getting so close. Despite missing players, we're finally winning some close games late.

Exactly, I think we are going to finish the season on an upward trend. I think Lester will get his 8th win and has turned a corner and continuing to improve.

Anyone else find it interesting that we burned Croom's redshirt... I am pretty sure I have seen him in quite a few games this year. Who is he replacing?

WMU stats show he has played in every game.

Definitely. I'm satisfied w/ 7, but @ this point, 8 would leave a lot of people happy.

(And 9 or 10, of course)

Hard to say. It's not like our D was playing lights-out before Eskridge went down.
