To move up in the CFP, it's not purely wins/losses anymore. The BCS likely would have been really good to ya'll, but the human element with the committee is not going to look favorably if you don't have a good resume.

Cause they're in the ACC.

That's like an automatic +10 modifier on their rolls.

G5 has a hard row to hoe. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying it's reality.

You have a room full of people organized to put on a spectacle to make lots of money, not put teams at the rank they deserve.

That said, the only rankings that matter are in relation to other G5 teams. If you were trying to move up/over them, you've got to explain why your resume is better than theirs.

Your outrage is misplaced. We have played exactly three teams in the top 2/3 of FBS this year. That's it. We've played multiple teams in the bottom 25 of FBS. We lost to a team in the bottom 1/3 of FBS. We have played ONE team in the top half of FBS.

The numbers don't lie. Reality should finally be setting in about how weak our schedule is nationally. Even if we win massively on Friday the only way we move up will be due to losses ahead of us. I don't think we will fall out of the top 25 with a win but I expect us to stay put there without a lot of help in front of us.

100% agree about this being a beauty contest, and honestly we deserved to drop a spot, we did not look like a top 25 team
