It won't be much better this year. People have to work.

What percentage of our typical football game attending fans do you think work on the Friday after Thanksgiving?

My wife. Unfortunately, most of the healthcare field does not get holidays off. She will end up working half a day on Thursday, and then all day Friday.

health care workers don't work Saturday?

Thank Medicare and Medicaid for this one. If you are a physical, occupational, or speech therapist, your patients have to be seen (treated) 6 days a week (for nursing home settings). So you schedule your therapists 5 days per week, and then schedule PRN (per-need) therapists for Sat/Sun treatments. So any holidays that happen on a weekday have to be taken off using vacation days. I have implored my wife to take off Christmas eve and day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, 4th of July, etc., but she reminds me every time I complain about it that they only have so many PRNs, the PRNs don't want to work those days... (that's the whole reason they are PRN), and she only has so many vacation days to use per year.

I imagine it's the same with nursing and dietary, not only in SNFs, but hospitals as well.

Is that one free ticket per season ticket or one period?

Congratulations! You will never be able to give any money to a perspective recruit from now on.... or, as it is worded in the NCAA pdf... "indefinitely"

Wanna bet. 03-lmfao

Anyone considering buying tickets for next year should do it. 03-idea

If you don't have season tickets and have an extra $150 FOR THE YEAR! you really should step up, the football program needs support and the games are a blast, especially when you can sit by the same fans every game.....

Sometimes sitting next to the same “fans” every game is definitely NOT a good thing. There’s this one guy in my section, that takes every imperfect play to cuss the coach, and the players with no regard for the grade schoolers right next to him. It gets really tiring after the first couple of games. This person is well old enough to know how to handle their liquor, but it’s the same story every week.

I have no idea if this person posts here, but they are surgically attached to Joey Magnifico’s jock. I LOVE me some Joey, but there are other players on the team, and if Brady White and Coach Norvell we’re as “pathetic”’(their words not mine) as this person claims, we wouldn’t be where we are right now. It’s completely distracting and frustrating. There are other fans in my section, who get just as drunk (maybe more) without showing their idiocy every game. Have some self control is all I’m saying.

I'm all for calling out idiots and hateful people, but cussing in general is a life lesson kids should be exposed to.

If you want to shelter kids, ESPN airs most of our games.

If I were still living in Memphis...I'd jump all over that...with the understanding..that the $50 deposit did not qualify me as a "booster".

What’s the lesson? How to look uneducated, drunk, and out of control in public? I fully express my anger and frustration without impacting the people around me, appropriately. It’s called “courtesy”and it precedes self control - which is another valuable lesson to teach. It’s not illegal, but it IS inconsiderate.

I would wager that the majority of employees who work in some type of distribution field are required to work on the day after Thanksgiving.

Is Memphis a big distribution hub or anything?

I worked retail in college. I could take off a Saturday here and there. One day I could not take off? The day after Thanksgiving.

But now, personally, I love the Black Friday game.

Well, that's true... To a big extent, you have the job you prepared for. My wife went to school and got here Physical Therapy degree because she loves helping people (what a rube...). Unfortunately for her fandom, she enjoys helping old people. They are the ones with medicare/medicaid. Hence, she don't get no national holidays.
