Dude, he looks like a total fool. I know this works with the base, but I doubt with many others.

lol....Probably why impeachment has dropped 10 points in less than a week with independents. So, what you really mean is you really do not like having your favorite fake news narrative clearly debunked right before your eyes with facts...in a clear strong voice.

And before you ask---here is the link. This is why the Democrats didnt want public hearings. They could no longer completely control the narrative. Though the media spin that every day of the hearings is "devestating" for the Trump administration---the reality is the perception among those actually watching is the exact opposite. The Democrats were better off with leaks coming from scary secret black box Politburo style proceedings. With the curtain stripped away---the public can hear the WHOLE story. When they see the whole story-----they see that impeachment is nothing more than dirty partisan politics at play.

Let's see the numbers after the testimony from this week.

You don't seem to understand that the testimony this week was far less compelling than last weeks, as difficult as that is, and your side just looks more foolish every day, as difficult as that is.

It is reported that Nunes met with the fired AG from Ukraine as well. If this is true? He should have recused himself from asking questions. It will look like he will be investigated by the House Ethics Committee if he violated house rules.

This was written for you.

Quote:House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) announced Friday night that he is filing a lawsuit against CNN over a report that they published the same evening that alleged an indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani was willing to testify to Congress that Nunes met with a former Ukrainian prosecutor last year to discuss digging up dirt on former Vice President and current Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“The attorney, Joseph A. Bondy, represents Lev Parnas, the recently indicted Soviet-born American who worked with Giuliani to push claims of Democratic corruption in Ukraine,” CNN reported. “Bondy said that Parnas was told directly by the former Ukrainian official that he met last year in Vienna with Rep. Devin Nunes.”

“Mr. Parnas learned from former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin that Nunes had met with Shokin in Vienna last December,” Bondy told CNN. “Nunes had told Shokin of the urgent need to launch investigations into Burisma, Joe and Hunter Biden, and any purported Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election.”

CNN claims that Bondy told them that Parnas and Nunes allegedly began communicating with each other around the time of the Vienna trip and that Parnas worked to put Nunes in contact with Ukrainian officials that could dig up dirt on Biden and Democrats in Ukraine.

Nunes also plans to sue The Daily Beast for a story that it published earlier in the week that alleged that Parnas helped Nunes set up numerous meetings regarding Ukraine.

In an exclusive statement provided to Breitbart News, Nunes said: “These demonstrably false and scandalous stories published by the Daily Beast and CNN are the perfect example of defamation and reckless disregard for the truth. Some political operative offered these fake stories to at least five different media outlets before finding someone irresponsible enough to publish them. I look forward to prosecuting these cases, including the media outlets, as well as the sources of their fake stories, to the fullest extent of the law. I intend to hold the Daily Beast and CNN accountable for their actions. They will find themselves in court soon after Thanksgiving.”

CNN claims that they began to ask Nunes questions about his Vienna trip on November 14, to which Nunes responded to CNN: “I don’t talk to you in this lifetime or the next lifetime. At any time. On any question.”

CNN asked Nunes about the trip again on Thursday, to which Nunes responded: “To be perfectly clear, I don’t acknowledge any questions from you in this lifetime or the next lifetime. I don’t acknowledge any question from you ever.”

Nunes has long held a policy of not communicating with CNN, which can be evidenced in a clip from summer 2018.

Nunes does have a legitimate reason to not answer CNN, as the far-left network is notorious for making false claims about Republicans and publishing false stories that later have to be retracted.

In late 2017, CNN published a story smearing then-Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci that alleged that Scaramucci was connected to a Russian investment fund that was supposedly under investigation by the U.S. Senate.

Scaramucci took immediate legal action against CNN and the network was forced to retract the report and had to fire three reporters over the incident.

In August, CNN’s Brian Stelter, on his show “Reliable Sources,” allowed a psychiatrist to falsely claim that President Donald Trump was “as destructive of person in this century as Hitler, Stalin, Mao were in the last century. He may be responsible for many more million deaths than they were.”

Stelter did not challenge the claim and after experiencing intense backlash, gave an uncorroborated excuse for his inaction to the blatantly false statement.

CNN also lied about former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, being its source for a story whose central claim — that Cohen would testify that Trump knew in advance about the Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer — was also false.

“On July 27, 2018, CNN published a blockbuster story: that Michael Cohen was prepared to tell Robert Mueller that President Trump knew in advanced about the Trump Tower meeting,” The Intercept reported. “There were, however, two problems with this story: first, CNN got caught blatantly lying when its reporters claimed that ‘contacted by CNN, one of Cohen’s attorneys, Lanny Davis, declined to comment’ (in fact, Davis was one of CNN’s key sources, if not its only source, for this story), and second, numerous other outlets retracted the story after the source, Davis, admitted it was a lie. CNN, however, to this date has refused to do either.”

CNN has also posted false stories about:

James Comey’s testimony
The spread of misinformation on Twitter
Republicans funding the anti-Trump dossier
How Trump fed koi fish in Japan
Donald Trump Jr. getting advanced notice of a dump of WikiLeaks emails
A sexual assault allegation against Brett Kavanaugh that was already retracted
Repeatedly spreading false statistics about school shootings
Host shared a fake story about an AR-15

Link

Though both skew hard left---there used to be a difference between CNN and the radical shouting tin foil hat crazies on MSNBC. These days---its hard to distinguish any significant difference between the two networks. Sad how far CNN has fallen.

I used to watch CNN almost all the time. They were down the middle until Obama showed up, then fawned all over him for 8 years, but still weren't stridently anti-everything-right.

Until Trump came down that escalator...

A lot of things changed in our country and our culture in 2008.

If we are all on ignore it must not be that big of a deal.

As far as I’m concerned if you come to a place like this and ignore people you probably are not really confident of your ideas. I put no one on ignore. Not even CB. Not that he deserves any attention but just as a matter of leaving no idiot out.

Tom is just being a devil's advocate - even though I think he believes all that he is advocating.

Unfortunately this whole mess (an I mean going back to summer 2016) is nothing more than a glorified beauty & personality contest. Politics gonna politic and that will never change.

The hatred of the left is because DJT is rude, crass, and super arrogant. He crashed the party and the losing side REALLY hates that while the other side TOLERATES it. My guess is if DJT was a democrat we would still be in the circus but Nancy would be kissing his orange arse and Lindsey would impeaching over a spilled glass of milk.

Has only a little to do with party... and all about the people. I suspect there are also D (and R) strongholds where things are just fine.

You're still claiming as fact that there are R districts or states where people should have been voted out. Even at this very low bar, you haven't presented any facts to support it. ODU's line is clear.

I think all of us would like to know where you draw the bar on such people.

Not really what I said or meant. And as I admitted, I should have been more clear to which part of his post I was referring to by either stating or so or removing the other part of his comments I quoted.

My only point was that we continue to send the same reps back to Washington regardless of what type of job they're doing...and it applies to both parties.

Again, apologies for not being more clear...I was NOT making any claims about the actual districts.

But there are some ethical problems involved when an attorney is also a testifying witness. I could see putting him on the witness list to disqualify him from prosecuting the case because of conflict of interest, but that would be an interesting battle.

See https://www.americanbar.org/groups/profe..._rule_3_7/

"Rule 3.7 Lawyer As Witness - Comment
"Advocate
"[1] Combining the roles of advocate and witness can prejudice the tribunal and the opposing party and can also involve a conflict of interest between the lawyer and client."

There is a lot more detail at the site, but there is definite potential for conflict.

I'm quite certain that Schiff would give his left one to try the case, so it could be interesting to see how this plays out.

I don't see that happening AT ALL.

But you are wrong. They hated George Bush just as much but he didn’t fight back. The struggle comes with the push back.

No it is not in the actual court of law sense - however it is a court of public opinion trial.

If congress actually does file articles of impeachment - the Senate will turn it into a trial.

IMO what Trump has done is no worse (or better) than any of the shenanigans from the people in congress who are judging him now - they all know it too.

That is why congress will never finish this by filing articles - they will then be exposed to a republican controlled narrative and that will not be good for them - any of them.

The bold is the one and only reason the D's are doing this impeachment nonsense. They know they have nothing on Trump with regard to actual impeachment and that it will eventually go nowhere; however, they are counting on their followers not caring about that and believing all the nonsense coming Nov 2020. This is all political theater. I'm just glad more and more people are seeing it for what it is.

The fatal flaw is that the only people eating that delicious meal are the people who already plan on voting against Magnificent Orange one.... They aren't swaying anyone else and have pissed off the middle who are looking at those morons as wasting everybody's time and energy.

Sooooo I can vote for these blue people who would rather sky scream and accomplish nothing, or I can vote for the red team who at the very least is trying to govern in the midst of this circus..... It's not a tough choice.

I am interested though (and I'm not asking this specifically of you)... but I'm wondering how many areas have seen MAJOR shifts (and of course we can debate what major means)... and yet they continue to send a party or more important, a person back.

Said differently, I'd like to see a study of (as an example) some reasonable measure of standard of living or quality of life etc etc in an area with a long-term incumbent. Seems it would be a great marketing idea for both parties as well as the fringes within the party... i.e. a libertarian republican or justice democrat running against the 'old school'.

Well, when the re-election rate is around 90%, and then you have to see how many of the 10% who lose are solely because they get primaried, it may be hard to get any type of definitive answer.

Republican Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe hinted Saturday at the reason he believes House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff won’t release Michael Atkinson’s transcript.

Ratcliffe suggested in a tweet that Atkinson, the Intelligence Community Inspector General, might have revealed information about a possible connection between the whistleblower and members of Schiff’s staff.

“It’s because I asked IG Atkinson about his ‘investigation’ into the contacts between Schiff’s staff and the person who later became the whistleblower. The transcript is classified ‘secret’ so Schiff can prevent you from seeing the answers to my questions,” he tweeted.

Someone tell me again when that IG report is coming out.

You will know because of a major false flag event.

You're in the same company as Stink and myself as well.

Probably myself as well.

If we are all on ignore it must not be that big of a deal.

As far as I’m concerned if you come to a place like this and ignore people you probably are not really confident of your ideas. I put no one on ignore. Not even CB. Not that he deserves any attention but just as a matter of leaving no idiot out.

I put mach on ignore once but that was more for his protection than mine. There were so many times I wanted to scream at him using bad language. But it only lasted a day. I want to see what my diametrically opposed opposition has to say.

in my world of 'village idiot', it's much more fonzies to never ignore...

that's the beauty of......
