WOW! That's incredible, so $150M in donations between Miller and Moody in one month! That has to be some kind of record. Congrats!

How long have you lived in Texas and not heard of the Moody Foundation? They donate to projects in Houston all of the time.

Their UT Austin donations are up to $200million over the last year and a half. Crazy!

RE: SMU lands $100M gift from the Moody Foundation
Great, that $100 Million is being put to great use... Congrats

PS: Something from the article stands out as I was reading it...

Francie Moody-Dahlberg, lives here, in Dallas. "The great-granddaughter of the late financial mogul and foundation’s founder, William Lewis Moody Jr., received her bachelor of arts degree with a psychology major at SMU in 1992 and is a member of the university’s board of trustees".

"Moody’s latest commitment is five times bigger than its last large gift to SMU, which was $20 million to renovate Moody Coliseum in 2011".

And then this...

"Over the weekend, the University of Texas at Austin announced that it has received $130 million from Moody for a new basketball arena and events center — the largest single gift from a foundation in UT history'.

And Yet SMU has a Moody Coliseum but UT gets the big money to upgrade their basketball arena... Interesting.

RE: SMU lands $100M gift from the Moody Foundation
David Miller donated $40,000,000 on top of the $20,000,000 Moody donated to redo Moody.

The new UT arena will be replacing the Erwin Arena which serves all of Austin as the largest venue in the city. UT wanted the city to give them the money a decade ago and we voted no.

The stock market's been good for the last decade. Almost tripled under Obama.

Trump needs to pick up the pace to keep up with the Obama Stock Market and Obama did it by shrinking the deficit in half while Trump has exploded the deficit
