Golden Lions have a 9 player rotation according to the scouting report, but their big man is 6’8”. Lever should have an easier time. He’s had 2 rebounds total in the last two games.

Isaiah Brown said the losses have put a “battery in their backs”. We shall see. I fully expect them to win. UAPB is coming off a 50 point loss to the Zags and they haven’t played in a week. That’s a long time to sit and chew on a loss like that. Although... I’m sure the check from that money game spent pretty well, and likely funded at least one assistant coach’s salary for the year.

Anyone have any thoughts on what should be a fairly unremarkable game?

We never quite put the game behind reach, but a win is a win and Lever will hopefully take away some confidence from his 23 point performance. He said he thinks he will keep the clean shaven look since he shaved his beard and they won. Hey... whatever works. Blacksher changes his hair every game so maybe he’s trying to find the lucky style too.

Even with the win, this team does not look good. The offense is not explosive and the defense is terrible. Oscar Frayer might be more important than his stats suggest, especially on the defensive end. He always guarded the other teams best player and we do not have anyone currently that can do that. For example, Frayer would have stopped #21 from going off like he did and we would have won this game by 20+ points.
