$5 water revisited
So I noticed yesterday water in the Big Blue room is FREE. Same bottle of water at the terrace (Big Blue equivalent at the stadium) is $5. How come?

The Big Blue room is operated by ODAF, the beer garden is operated by Aramark. It's the same reason a beer is $4 in the big blue room but if you go to the terrace, the 4400 club, the club level at Ballard or the bball VIP room, you're gonna pay $8.

RE: $5 water revisited
I hate paying $5 for water at SB. What makes it worst, ODU athletics get nothing from the $4.90 profit. The Big Blue Room is great with $2 popcorn and $2 beer. Actually lowered the price and they have a fair selection.

Those were the days. Also we were undefeated at home during those times. Coincidence? I think not.

RE: $5 water revisited
I bring 2 or 3 bottles in with me for the kids now. As long as they're unopened it's no issue. Other than the water the rest is ok.

Beer wasn't free in the blue room during that entire run. I don't think it has been free since 2013.

Ahh. I was thinking during that run in CUSA, where we won 30+ straight.

Aramark really seems to have ODU over a barrel. I hope we have some very smart and savvy people renegotiate that contract when it runs out. Seems like we are likely losing many thousands of dollars with them. And when we are under such a tight budget that we cant afford good signage or upper level bathrooms, every thousand counts.

If we beat UNCC in the last home game I will throw a water party. All you can drink. Just drink responsibly.

Next game check the date on your soda bottles, my wife bought a diet pepsi and the bottle looked like it had been baking in the sun for weeks. The date on it was Oct 19-19, the vendor at the table on the second level where she bought it wouldn't exchange.

Good to know. As I always say, "if M4L says it, you can take it to the bank". I would also imagine our concessions sales fluctuate with the crowds, while Aramark is guaranteed income. So while the crowds are down for the moment, I can see how we might make out on the good end. I'd love to see us get the rights to beer income at least though. Especially now that it doesnt have to be contained in designated areas. But I guess there are folks who's job it is to know this stuff better than me.

Just to be clear, those same $5.00 water bottles are at the Ted, too.

Also, whoever told Aramark that Parmesan cheese belongs on $6.00 nachos needs to be fired. 05-nono

And whoever makes the marinara (that comes with the mozzarella sticks) should be jailed.
