And other vices, plus a team that can compete in football. Not so much in basketball.

My question is why are you even reading their board?

They do have both of those things available, in abundance.

They would be competitive (at least this year) without a doubt. However, they are behind UCF, Temple, Tulane, Cinci, Memphis, Navy and SMU in terms of strength. They would finish anywhere from 6th to 8th overall at this point in time.

If they come over with that, we can deam with them.

In the meantime, why would we start a thread about them? Don't punch down.

Exactly. Who cares about them? Why would this even be a discussion here?

Posters like this offer nothing to this board. All they do is incite other fan bases to come over here and sling mud. App St. Plays quality football. They probably wouldn't win the AAC but they'd sure as hell beat UH this year, especially if we played in Boone, so our fan base has no room to talk smack.

I guess when you beat 2 P5 teams that are not ranked, not above .500 and probably won't even make it to a bowl, you think you can take on the world.

They're pretty good and would do pretty well in the AAC, but they wouldn't win it right away.

I've watched App play for a couple of years. They absolutely could win the AAC. I dont know if they would but they absolutely would be in it.

They would win the ACC. Lol

They could win the AAC, they just wouldn't be close to anything resembling a favorite.

No---they wouldnt win the AAC---hell, they might not even be .500 if they drew the crazy schedule Houston drew. Appy St has literally only played 2 teams with over .500 records and lost to one of them (at home). They did beat ULL on the road 17-7 (nice win). They will only play one other team with a winning record this season.

Appy St has the 118th ranked SOS in FBS (in other words, only 12 teams have played a weaker schedule to date). The current Houston schedule is ranked #45, and it will get stronger over the last 3 weeks as 2 of the last 3 games are against ranked teams. Yeah we suck this year, but even a crappy 3-6 Houston that has played some very good opponents very close might be a bigger challenge than many of the squads on AppySt's 2019 schedule.

They are a good team. No idea where they would place in the AAC, but they are good.

ECU fans know better than most that beating mediocre Carolina teams can launch a million delusional ships of how good you actually are

Well some here think they could win the SEC - but none of us will ever get the chance - App St or the AAC schools.
