Their schedule has nothing on it that makes me think they would be better than 6-6. Seriously, look at who they play. Yes, they beat two P5 teams but neither has a winning record and then lost to another sunbelt team.

They may not even be a favorite to win the Sunbelt. I dont get the acclaim they are receiving. Cinci, Memphis, SMU, Navy, Temple, UCF would all rag doll them. Tulane and Houston would be favored and i wouldnt put money that they could beat USF or Tulsa.

Ill give them Uconn. They would win that one.

App and 8-1 Memphis share one opponent this season, ULM.

Memphis won 52-33 (13 of Memphis’s points came in the 4th quarter so it’s not like they were resting guys)

App won 52-7 (14 of our points came in the 4th from our backup QB and backup RB) on homecoming. And we had our second string in for the entire 4th.


I don’t like using this transitive BS and I don’t like having to compare us with Memphis because I think Memphis is legit and undeserving of me having to use them as an example. However this idea that we’d struggle in the AAC is hilarious to me. Especially from a USF fan. What are you guys, 1-9 or something?

Other than being the #25 ranked research University in the United States? UCF has been better in football for the last few years, but we actually have a winning record against them in every single sport, and academically they arent in our league... kind of like App St.

We also have 120 conference titles in our history. If you are speaking specifically in football... well we were in a BCS conference, have been ranked higher than App State ever has, and more times than you have. We have signature wins over schools like Notre Dame, FSU, Miami, Auburn, USC, TCU, Pitt, Cuse, Lville, WVU, Kansas, along with more P5/BCS wins than App State..... I can keep going.

More importantly if you are talking now... um you sure are bragging about being ranked for a hot second against extreme inferior competition. USF has lost to Wisconsin, Navy, and SMU... all top 25 ranked teams. Your pitiful arse hasn't even played ranked teams. So who you talking to?

I wouldnt walk around bragging about your wins... Gardner Webb, S. Alabama, Ark State, Louisiana Lafayette, Coastal Carolina, Troy and Texas State ... then took it in the backside to Georgia Southern....isnt exactly a schedule ANYONE brags about. Your two best wins are against teams with losing records.

On a long list of schools that wont ever make it in to the AAC, your name doesnt even come near the top. Hell, UAB or Southern Miss would get in LONG before App State. Your aspirations need to be CUSA.

I don’t think we are a good fit for the AAC and I’ve been very consistent with that statement. Frankly I love the Sunbelt and clearly we can achieve our goals from there if we take care of business.

If geography wasn’t an issue, I’d MUCH rather join the MWC because we align more with those teams.

Feel free to add UNCC or UAB or ODU or whatever city school you want.
