Just shows boosters like Jerry can make decisions just as bad as ADs. Hopefully Coach Norvell will remember getting passed by so Arky could hire an inferior coach, and scratch the Hogs off his list.

About half the fans do, no telling who the AD is favoring. The overriding factor in the hiring of Morris over Norvell last time was recruiting Texas and whether they admit it or not letting Jerrah have too much of a say. A blanking mistake. Next coach will have to expert in the modern day Tansfer portal business. Dykes seems to have mastered that though.

He transferred because Chaggy was worthless, he had eligibility left here. Was just an early graduate so that helped not having to sit a year.

Sounds like Arkansas needs to go after the Western Kentucky coach.

If he wants to go because of family ties, I wish him well. But legitimately, he can do a lot better. Arkansas has the welfare check that comes from the SEC. That is the ONLY way this is a step up.

Not if they are now refusing to pay Buliema. Thats a real bad look.

By the way, around the first of October, their own insiders were saying they were going to be stuck with Morris for at least another year, as there was no appetite to fund another buyout and have to pay another coach even more money. Sounds like they may have found what they believe to be a loophole in paying Buliema.

I wonder who Buliema's agent is?

There could be a deal made for Malzahn to leave Auburn. Auburn wants him gone and Arky wants him. It would be smart for him to leave. first losing season -he is gone. The buyout could be waved. This is a real possibility to watch for.

Norvell needs to stay until a good P5 job comes up that doesn't take a total rebuild job like Arkansas will. Our program was on the way up when we got him. He needs a situation like this.

Why on Earth would Norvell go to Arkansas??

A young dynamic well respected well paid head coach goes to a program in a black hole that is staring down the barrel of both Alabama and now LSU?

Plus being Mike Norvell, the fan base would have an irrational expectation that he would come in and work some miracle.

Honestly, do you look at Arkansas and say “ That’s a championship program that just needs the right coach”? C’mon.

I’m not saying he wouldn’t take it but I just don’t see it as a wise decision.

I could see Norvell going to Miami when that clown flames out or Georgia when Kirby gets the NFL itch or TAMU when the fans get tired of continual 8-5 seasons under Jimbo.
