RE: 11.5K Nashvile to Memphis?
VERY fair and reasonable based on the "atmosphere" and the landscape of what's being done to the contrary, that is an obvious scandal.... Anthony Davis received $200k.... It may have included "relocation" fees....Zion Williamson received $500k, also there was a note involved with the recruitment of Trendon Watford that leaked a number of $250k....

Is TW dealing with ANY of this???? Or LSU or even Will Wade for that matter......So, $ 11.5 for moving expenses is by NO MEANS astronomical or even unreasonable for that matter.....It just ensures that "any" unusual or unexpected circumstances could be addressed.....Could have been the estimated moving expenses over the course of 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or 4 years until Wise Was able to draw an income and help support his family......

When I moved the realtors charged 10k for packing and moving and unloading. Work paid relocation fee. It's extremely reasonable.

Yeah, if you do it yourself with a uhaul and 3 friends it's much cheaper. But packing up a house into boxes takes maybe 1.5 days and you've got 3 people on the clock packing, moving, driving, unloading. Plus you're paying them for overnight accomodations and to be away from family for 2 days.

Military has not moved me since 1999 but this move breaks down to roughly $52.25 a mile. I guess when you are spending someone else's money....

I worked at a relocation company in Memphis over 10 years ago and $11,500 was reasonable then. Costs only go up...

yea, big difference between hiring a relocation company and renting a uhaul. I thought $11,500 for a complete relocation with movers and likely some storage costs was reasonable. I have heard of gouging before that was multiples of that number.

RE: 11.5K Nashvile to Memphis?
I had corporate relocation from Nashville to Memphis 3 years ago. $10k for moving of goods, packing/unpacking, appliance hookup, 4 days of labor, vehicle moving, 2 nights hotel. That doesn't count temp corp housing, disconnect/reconnect utilities, closing costs, etc.

$11.5k can go quick.

yea, professional relocation of any distance is gonna cost at minimum 5k and then they probably needed temporary housing as well. Add that all up and 10k goes quick
