The AAC is no cake walk and last thing this league needs is another nose dive of a program... cough... uconn... cough.
Flavor of the months programs aren't the answer.
I respect the AAC and think it’s the best G5 conference. But honestly I think we’d be in roughly the same position. Give us a couple extra million a year and access to slightly better recruits? Game over.
The sunbelt desperately needs a rebrand. Most of the putrid teams left for CUSA, and the football is pretty good now, but we’re still stuck with the reputation F_U and north Texas left behind.
App plays in very weak conference. It doesn't matter as App will never leave Sun Belt. Ecu was ranked number 16 in 2014 and then we nose dived. App would struggle like hell in this conference.

Yeah the powerful sunbelt and can’t even win those games. You beat some terrible teams, go back to your trailer park where you belong.
Right. Let me know again which powerhouse your top ranked team Cincinnati beat?
Oh that’s right, a trash UCLA team and a 3 loss UCF. AAC resume is no better than App’s.
The numbers clearly demonstrate that the AAC is a much better conference than the Sunbelt and it’s not even close. For that reason alone, our best teams will have better resumes than the best of the Belt’s.
App is a good program and I look forward to playing y’all OOC for hopefully a long time to come.

Totally agree. Just get annoyed with the “flavor of the month” BS when we’ve done nothing but win for nearly two decades.
The reality is if we were in the AAC, we’d be in the mix with Memphis/Cincinnati/SMU/Navy right now. Regardless of our current conference affiliation.

South Carolina and ECU would go toe to toe. App State is an above average football team. Not close to top 25 caliber.

Which publication are you with since you seem to think you’re an AP voter? You a committee member?

Please Lord Please. I saw you guys lose to whatever the name of that team was. The divide between you and our top teams is so wide, they don't have measuring stick for it.

Care to elaborate on this? App and Memphis both played ULM & Southern Alabama. And both App and Memphis beat the wheels off them. Though it’s notable that ULM put up 33 on you and 7 on us.
What exactly are you seeing that suggests this magical divide you speak of??
