Exclamation OT: LSU-Alabama 'Game of the Century, Part Deux'
'Game of the Century, Part Deux' will be better than 2011 - per Scott Rabailas of the Advoacte.

Game of the Century, Part Deux

Will this be the biggest college football game so far this century?

ESPN Radio said that the aftermarket prices for tickets are higher than for any Super Bowl.

How do the enormous amounts of money involved affect the game of college football, corporate sponsors, and now player payments?

What are the long-term repercussions for the teams that do not play at this elite level, especially those that play in the G5 conferences?

I'm actually going to the game.. I got tickets for $325/each on Craigslist.

If you know of a super bowl that is that cheap, let me know...

Haha-They got transferred to me via the official UA website so I'm not concerned... For the Texas-OU game, I bought two "paper tickets" on blind faith from a guy on Craigslist, and thank God, they worked.

That said-it looks like the get-in price on StubHub is hovering around $250 (before fees).

Don't know, don't care. Conference USA only baby.

Never watch the SEC or any of those minor league football teams.

That will be great for UAB! I have a friend who is a faculty staff member at Alabama and gets four tickets for all of the Tide home games. This person does not attend the games and usually sells their tickets. This individual got $8,000 for the 4 tickets to the LSU game. It also includes free parking near the stadium.

And no this isn't the game of the century. My personal opinion is that when the CFP Poll comes out tomorrow, it will show:

1. LSU
2. Ohio St.
3. Penn St.
4. Alabama
5. Clemson
6. Georgia

So this game being billed as #1 vs #2 will not actually be the case. Just sayin'.....

I think you're over hyping Ohio State.. The one team they played they didn't look good until the 2nd half when the defense was wore slap out.

They have beaten two current rank teams. They have obliterated everyone on their schedule. I'm not over hyping Ohio St in the least bit.

Alabama without Tua and their D has been fairly questionable. Taking LSU in a win.

As much as I despise both programs, I think Alabama wins fairly handily.

The big hope is that Saban wins another, bests the Bear, and retires. Alabama will retreat to pre-Saban mediocrity and balance will be restored to the force.

They'll just hire another winner. They may not be what they are with Saban, but no way will they accept mediocrity like our programs do.
