I see what you did there.

Honestly not intended as a “shot” - more so as a highlight to the “P6 movement” the conference agenda pushes. The MWC prior to the last large round of realignment SHOULD HAVE done. They might’ve got an auto bid to the Fiesta Bowl.

I like Boise State's football program overall, but your AD, in my opinion, made a huge mistake (to put it mildly) recently when he said he didn't think your team should get into the CFP. I hope your boosters got onto his case.

Despite what the marketing material says, the goal of the P6 campaign is NOT about being perceived as equal to the P5. It's about being perceived as a step above the other G5 (G4).

Once you recognize that basic fact, you'll realize that the campaign is succeeding.

Did you sign a 2-1 with Bama? Or Georgia? That's what this is.

Yes, yes we did.

Than yes, you can claim some credit.

Although we usually sign a 2-1 with OU every decade or so. They aren't a traditional rival for us. Their base is more OKC centric, Tulsa tends to be 50/35-40 for Oklahoma St.

We have usually played Arkansas in a series that has some absurd history/streaks going on and Okie St.

2-1s with true bluebloods are fine.

mtmedlin is talking about the shade from Danny White et. al. about how awful it was that USF was effectively whoring ourselves out by signing 2 for 1's, making it harder for him to schedule 1 for 1's with P5 schools. There was lots of piling on of USF by board members for it. To be fair, we never should have signed a 2 for 1 with Louisville, but I stand by the others, including Miami. Meanwhile, schools like Memphis do a 2 for 1 with Arkansas, and there's none of the vitriol.

Miami? .....okay arguable.
Memphis was in a situation of must because previous AD was all cupcake city 1-1 deals.
There is a bunch of history in the Tulsa-Arky 2-1 but I am not a fan of it.
You deserve credit for Alabama.

Everybody good now?

Let's pull our big boy pants up and go beat some overrated bull**** teams 04-cheers

We did deals with Texas, Miami, Alabama, Florida and lville. Texas already cancelled and will now pay us $1.9 million to comes see them next year.... which ironically, that money ill be used to Fire Strong.

Strange that you say that. Most Tulsa fans I know are also OU fans.

Strange that you say that, very few of the ones I know are OU fans. More overlap to me with OSU

I would say you are grossly wrong or just saying what I said in reverse for lack of anything else to say. I have never met a TU fan that was an OSU fan. In fact I never met a TU fan that did not hate OSU.

We have overlap with both. More cowboys than Sooners. While never a big aggs fan, I prefer dealing with them then the boomers whose necks match their jerseys. Both have good fans too.

I have to say I do not see this. Every TU fan I know absolutely hates OSU and are cool with OU.

I concur with this. Traditionally TU has competed with OSU and not with OU which leads to TU fans (like myself) disliking OSU and being fine with OU. I've not met many TU fans that are also OSU fans (unless they have kids that go to OSU or went to OSU themselves.)

I know lots of OSU fans who are also TU fans, and a few OU fans that like Tulsa as well, though much less of an overlap.

Being a student in 2002 and one of the few in blue the last couple times OU has been here as well as once in Norman I will say I much prefer the Stillwater variety okie to the sooner's type. OSU has been tolerable here and not much of an issue there, the gooners were insufferable here.

Both bandwagons are filled with manure either way.

Maybe it just goes decade by decade. Being a student for the 2011, 2013 and 2014 OU games, there wasn't much smack talk (probably because all those games were over by half time.)

You a guys are changing your argument. You were saying TU fans were also OSU fans, that is not correct. Two other TU posters have pointed that out to you.

Now you are saying some OSU fans are also TU fans and that is correct. But you are wrong when you say TU fans are OSU fans.

Also, TU fans are filled with manure like most fan bases are.

What??? I never said any such thing.

I said that more TU fans - usually TU alumni - tend to have OSU as a second team or vice versa than they do OU.

Also, I disagree with their assessment that most TU fans don't loathe OU. Maybe we need a poll of the rivals board.

I don't know anything about shade from Danny White, but I know he has no interest in scheduling 2-for-1s. We want to have more home games, not less, and we've been drawing well at home. So there's no sense of urgency to schedule 2-for-1s. If attendance drops VERY sharply, maybe White would reconsider, but right now there's no need for UCF to do that. If other programs in the American want to schedule 2-for-1s, that's cool with me; you all know what your own programs need better than anyone.
