If anybody thinks that a student assistant wrestling coach, who is relying on his stipend to get himself to a degree, has any leverage all in a situation like this does not understand how academia works.

The democrats have been alleging for three years now. I don’t remember a single “bombshell” allegation that has amounted to anything of significance.

I don't think anybody (including the democrats) really cares what Jordan did as an assistant wrestling coach. It's just that Jordan is starting to look like a threat to their coup, so out come the knives.

Of course, maybe a lot of democrats just wish they could have been in the shower with the doctor.

If Jordan killed a black widdow spider in the shower, the Dem's would go after him.

that's XACLY! why #henceDJT was necessary....

we may not always be pleased with his methodology.....however, one can't deny how the rank and file are finally coming around....

there was never a doubt the consequence would be the dems being backed into a corner they couldn't escape....that's real value

it's playing out as some of us scripted 4 years ago when "don't underestimate the Donald" reared its 'ugly' head....

this is why I've been begging for a center/right/pragmatist my entire life.....it was necessary for any hope to remain solvent while remaining a global leader in investment and prosperity moving forward....

one day it will collapse if the dippos finally get their way....hopefully, we won't be around to see that event happen....I still have it pegged around '35...I hope I'm wrong....

Jim Jordan should probably resign...no need to recuse himself...and Jim Jordan is no threat on this committee...Owl basically confirmed that above. He doesn't scare me or anyone on the left.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Oops.

The horror story about all this a few months back that leadership at the school said that coaches and others should have stopped it. I guess there is proof that Jordan knew about it, but looked away.

More smoke on Jordan...

Quote:Adam DiSabato, a former captain of the OSU wrestling team during the late 80s and early 90s, told members of the House Civil Justice Committee that Jordan and other team officials knew about open-shower team facilities that facilitated sexual harassment and abuse of team wrestlers, an allegation Jordan has denied.

He also said Jordan called him repeatedly in July 2018, after media outlets quoted his brother, Michael DiSabato, saying Strauss’ abuse was common knowledge to those surrounding the wrestling program, including Jordan.

“Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling… begging me to go against my brother…That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there,” he said.

“Are you guys going to do what you’re voted to do?” he told lawmakers later. “That’s the only reason I’m here.”

No Republicans asked DiSabato follow-up questions on Tuesday. But several Democratic committee members did, including State Rep. Jeff Crossman, who asked DiSabato on Tuesday to square his testimony with Jordan’s statements.

DiSabato responded by calling Jordan a “liar.”

“He’s throwing us under the bus, all of us. He’s a coward,” DiSabato said.

This is comparable to me accusing my parish priest of abuse without any proof whatsoever. I could say anything and it would be my word against his. How do you prove who's lying and who isn't.

Not even that, the so called perp killed himself in 2005.

By 1979, Athletics Department officials knew that Strauss conducted unusually prolonged genital examinations on male athletes, and that athletics staff were not permitted to be present during these examinations. In addition, Strauss was known to shower alongside male students at Larkins Hall, a behavior which was unique among team physicians to Strauss.[1]:2 Between 1979 and 1996, multiple students complained about Strauss's excessive and unnecessary genital examinations, but no action was taken by OSU until January 1996, when he was placed on administrative leave in response to patient complaints.[1]:2–3

Abuse occurred in private examinations. Doc got his jollies by showering near other naked men. Jordan was in High School in 79'.

Quote:A professional referee says in a lawsuit filed Thursday that disgraced doctor Richard Strauss masturbated in front of him in a shower after a wrestling match at Ohio State University, and he reported the encounter directly to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who was then the assistant coach.

“Yeah, that’s Strauss,” Jordan and then-head coach Russ Hellickson replied, according to the lawsuit, when the referee, identified in court papers as John Doe 42, told them about the incident. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Ohio, implies that Jordan's response to the incident, which the referee said happened in 1994, was essentially a shrug.

John Doe 42 is the second person to say he told Jordan directly about either being approached or molested by Strauss, who was found by independent investigators to have sexually abused 177 male students over two decades.
Referee says he told Rep. Jim Jordan that Ohio State doctor performed sex act in shower

Of course he shouldn't resign. What a stupid question. 01-wingedeagle

Guessing you never played sports growing up then. The showers in my high school was one big open room with 10-12 shower heads along the perimeter of the walls.

Yep, middle school and high school showers were like that. We had stalls in one of my dorms at college, but some drunk idiot would always tear the curtains off. About the third or fourth time that happened, the stopped buying new ones so it was essentially an open shower for the rest of the semester.

Hard to imagine anybody over 30 hasn't been in a public shower in high school or college at a minimum.
