The short version of the game is that the USM defense has enough speed and athleticism to get pressure with 4. We need to be able to run the ball well enough to take pressure off the passing game, and avoid throwing into double coverage.

On defense we need to be gap sound and tackle well in the open field to prevent the five yard passes from turning into 20 yard gains.

Yup. USM is going to dare UAB to pass and if the Eagles can shutdown our running game it's going to be a long day in Hadesburg.

We will need to handle their quick passes on slants and screens.
We seem to allow those completions at the start of games and then tighten up coverage.
Hope we don’t fall behind early and abandon our running game.
Big game today. Glad it is on NFL Network.
