RE: UAB Troy Bball game thread
Gonna try to make the Utah Valley game. They may not be well known but that is a solid opponent. Interested to see how we match up.
Lot of the same issues but I enjoyed watching the team. I love good guard play and I think we might have the best duo back there since AJ and Jamarr. Fun to watch.

I think it’s a good hire for Troy. I also believe they are picked last (which KenPom does too) because they are so unknown right now. A new coach and new players are unknown quantities - to a degree. Cross has a history of doing well, and I suspect he will do well at Troy.
I remember reading some threads after he got hired at Troy and it seemed pretty unanimous from UTA fans that they wished he were still there.
He had some pretty big upsets while at UTA. I remember he beat Texas, Memphis and maybe St. Mary's in one season, or perhaps that was over a couple of seasons. I think the problem was UTA would always lose in the Sun Belt tourney even when they were the favored team. Still I believe he was an excellent hire for Troy.
