Nah. Selling art is the way to go. A banana duct taped to a board sold for $120K.

Ms Wiseman could've sold something similar for $10.5K and all would've been fine.

Thing is Uncle Mike is better at covering his tracks IF there are any.

Penny admitted to $11,500.

He has shoes worth more than that.

James moved to Memphis in August 2017. At the time Penny was not affiliated with the university, Tubby was head coach and Mike was not on the radar.

The relationship was with Penny as his AAU coach not with Mike who sponsored a Rival AAU team. Mike had zero experience recruiting for college athletics.same as Penny.

Penny disclosed the gift from the get go. When Wiseman offered The university knew about the funds and the NCAA had been informed during the clearance process.

Now if you are saying there was a conspiracy by Penny to move James to Memphis so that iF we fired Tubby Penny would get the job and we could have plotted to hire Mike to have made the additional leap to let Mike pay the $11,500 makes no sense.

You are wasting your time responding to that post. It’s ridiculous. Also any time someone addresses Mike Miller as “Uncle Mike”, that poster can’t be taken seriously.

He is an Uncle and being called Uncle in basketball is somewhat "in" when you consider Uncle Drew and the like.

Don't think too hard.

I dont know the reason, but it makes sense that they wouldnt allow that. GoFundMe money can be given anonymously. It would be easy enough for uof m boosters and donors to give anonymously, which would defeat the purpose for the punishment in the first place- booster gifting. I dont agree with the NCAAs inconsistencies, but not allowing for GoFundMe for this purpose makes sense, even though I dont like it.

How hard is it for some to comprehend that as soon as Penny gave $1 million for the Hall of Fame he was permanently associated with the University.

Boosters CANNOT go around giving money to ballplayers or their families.

It doesn't even matter if they signed with another school it is still a violation.

Bottom line is penny isn't ignorant or slow.

I think it is obvious that Penny didn't feel he would be coach of Memphis by the time Wiseman was in college.

That is why he had no issue with the payment because it would have very little bearing if Wiseman went elsewhere.

But penny knew it was wrong without question
