I truly hate when Memphis fans go to the KY board to try and talk sense or be rational with KY fans. Just stop. 1. you arent going to change their minds with facts.
2. just makes you look like an ass for being on their board in the first place.

I do wish Penny would have given James about 5 more minutes to break the record... 34 pts then sit him.

Also wish he would have given Baugh a few more minutes for one more basket and 2 more assists.

Neither of those are critical, just would have been nice. Kind of like when Crawford was 1 assist away from a triple double and Pastner stopped Adonis from making that last shot that would have given him the assist.

I don't think anyone mentioned James Wiseman did this in about 22 minutes or so.

He is a absolute stud.

Maxey looked great too but JW could have shattered the all time freshman opening game performance had Penny played him 30 minutes

When JW went down, there was a scare in the building. It was a reminder - you have to take him out after that.
You take the top of the rotation out to save injury. And you let the bottom of the rotation get minutes when they can as a reward for practice.
I was fine with Lance, Tyler, Alex, Ryan, and Jayden closing out the last 6 minutes or so.

I missed it last night, but where was Maurice?

Yeah, like I said it isnt a criticism, I understand the logic and reasoning behind it, just one of those wants that doesnt affect the game, and in some ways is selfish, but would have been nice.

Maurice was on the bench, in his sweatsuit the whole time. Seemed he knew he wasnt getting in the game. Not sure if a disciplinary action or if he just isnt making the rotation at this point. In fact, it has been mentioned several times (even by Penny) that he is looking for leadership from... ALo and Thomas but he never mentions Maurice.

I didn't post anything there, and never have. I do find their board amusing, and I look at it regularly during the basketball season. For a fanbase that feels so entitled, they sure get their panties in wad about us.

Oh yeah I am not accusing you of being one of those... I go and read their board from time to time as well just to see their melt downs. In fact, I had read that thread before you posted it here.

Well, no, it wasn't but the point was being so close to having a milestone stat and stopped short.

I saw both games. Wiseman is clearly on another level. Maxey is a poor man's Wiseman. I just don't see Mich St or Kentucky as being better than Memphis. Right now Memphis is better. Let's go get them all.

Maurice was the reason why Wiseman was having ankle injuries although I don't think Penny would hold him out for that reason. Maurice has never shown the propensity to be a rebounder or a rim protector. At best he's a stretch 4. If we need outside shooting from a big and or someone is in foul trouble he will play.

You can not rationalize or understand irrational people. Sure hope after we win a few championships that this board doesn’t end up like them

You want to read delusional, read their FOOTBALL board lol. They've had one decent season in a generation (not even good enough to win their division much less conference) and they now act like their are Alabama. The fact that they are sucking, as usual, this year doesn't seem to register.
