RE: What needs to happen this year
If OSU and Clemson stay undefeated they both are in.

If the winner of LSU\Bama then and loses in the championship game that excludes Loser of LSU\Bama from the playoffs.

The question then becomes do you take a 1 Loss LSU\Bama over Oklahoma...

If the winner of LSU\Bama wins the championship game both of them are going.

There are more interesting masturbation videos out there.

I’m sure you have studied that topic extensively.

RE: What needs to happen this year
The G5 should always root for maximum chaos in the CFP. So what needs to happen:
LSU beats Bama this week. And wins out the regular season. Then lose the SEC CCG. 12-1
Bama wins out after this week. 11-1
Georgia wins out including the SEC CCG. 12-1
Penn St beats Ohio St and wins out thru the regular season. Then lose the B10 CCG. 12-1
Ohio St wins out after losing to Penn St. 11-1
Minnesota wins out including the B10 CCG. 13-0
Clemson takes a loss down the stretch, but wins the ACC CCG. 12-1
Baylor wins out including the B12 CCG. 13-0
Utah wins out including the PAC CCG. 12-1

Then, you've got a complete mess on the good-ole-boyz committee. Every conference - including Memphis as the 12-1 AAC champ - can complain.

It's a good dream, no? The script starts this week - geaux LSU!

Chaos will only happen if the SEC is ever left out. They are the only ones who have the ability to demand change. And the media (ESPN) would go nuts.

So, this year hope:

Baylor runs the table
PSU or tOSU runs it
Clemson runs it
Utah runs it

Bama beats LSU and loses to Aubrun.
Georgia loses to Ga. Tech (highly unlikely)or Aubrun but beats Bama

UGa and Bama both have 2 losses. LSU has 1 loss but didn't win its division. Hell, then you have 2 loss Aubrun with wins over Georgia AND Bama.

Hard to bump any of them over 3 undefeateds and a 1 loss conference champ.

Fuente could do us a solid this week and coach his team to victory over #19 Wake Forest.

Not on the scale of what y'all are talking about, but moves us up.

Agree with most of this except put Oregon in place of Utah. Utah's loss to USC would hurt them in the end. Also Baylor being undefeated don't know if it will be enough. That non conference schedule is embarrassing 1 FCS team and 2 C-USA teams. That will most certainly come back and bite them you have to think.

In the end I think it's going to be hard for the SEC to be left out. If it's a 1 loss LSU their resume is just better than either of the 2 Pac 12 schools and honestly it would be better than an undefeated Baylor

You are right...

A 1 loss SEC is going...Even if it doesn't make the championship game.

2 of Bama\Georgia\LSU have 1 loss then Big XII champ better be undefeated

That's why you want an undefeated Baylor and Minnesota. Forces the hand of the CFP, and they will upset someone big time.
