Bubba, you would be better advised to be there Thursday at 7:00 for the ODU game!

ODU is good this year, so we will have a big challenge.

Tribe with a big 3rd qtr to close a 9 point halftime deficit against GW to 1 point to start the 4th qtr. Tribe showing a very effective full court press. On ESPN+. Go Tribe!

Ladies finish 9-2 in OCC, heading into a big, opening CAA game at JMU on Friday.

RE: Women's Basketball 2019-20
Does anyone know if it's a deliberate strategy by the team to have a weak OOC? Looking through the past bunch of years, we've finished with 8 or 9 OOC wins the past 4 seasons but a sub .500 conference record. Props to the team for winning the games in front of them, I just don't know if it's the best strategy.

Our OOC schedule looks pretty good to me. VCU, ODU, UR, ECU, GW and so on. Seems like a good local run.

RE: Women's Basketball 2019-20
I'd gladly take 8 games with the same schools for the men (Army, ECU, UR, UMBC, ODU, VCU, GW, NSU) and add the three traditional P5 revenue games from the same geographical footprint and call it a great schedule.

Open CAA play at JMU, Friday night.

Can the women match the men and grab a big road win against the preseason #1 team?

Go Tribe!

The only difference being that JMU truly is a #1 team whereas many folks (including me) thought that Hofstra's ranking was grossly inflated (and I'm on record as having said that well before tonight's 27-point road blowout over Hofstra). But your point is well taken -- Go Tribe!!

RE: Women's Basketball 2019-20
Tribe loses by about 17. Apparently had tired legs at the end. Seemed like must have been at least 50 fouls called in the game (most of them on the Tribe, of course).

Edit: Lost by 14. "Only" 39 fouls in the foul fest.
