Leaving at half time...
Hey, they just showed a shot of the front of the FedEx forum when they were coming back for the second half, and I didn't see anybody leaving... Why aren't people leaving for the second half?

I know... My wife said the same thing. And I know, basketball games are only 2 hours. But damnit, there are only 6 or 7 football games per year. You'd think people could invest the time needed to support their team for 6 or 7 lousy games a year.

I went to the Alabama utk game this year in Tuscaloosa , At the half and at the end of the third quarter there were thousands of people leaving....

This is what happens at games, it is not unique to Memphis...

Go find something else to complain about..

It's college football. And it happens everywhere now. It is a big problem here in Arizona. When students attend games, it is only for a quarter or so. Then they go to pool parties at high rise apartments. If you watch the homecoming game this past week, it looks like maybe 20k there. Frankly, I go to the tailgate, socialize, then skip the game and go to one of several bars with $2 drafts, 30 tv screens, and Arizona coeds and cougars everywhere.

Memphis has got to be the only school where the fans are jealous of their own team

College halftimes are so ridiculously long, they're just running home for a bite to eat, then come back and still have 10 more minutes before the second half. Don't forget to get your hand stamped.

Honestly the current rules are making it harder and harder to be fans in the stands. Just when we get used to all the tv timeouts, they introduce incessant, five minute reviews. Just a generation ago we were joking about three hour Super Bowls. Today, many college games push four hours. College football is great, but if they don't address the incredible, lengthening game, they're going to lose many of the next generation of fans. A good place to start would be cutting the 'Gone With the Wind' length halftime in half. Like a previous poster said, fans leaving at halftime is not unique to us. It's happening all over college football. Hopefully the NCAA is listening, because the shrinking fan bases are sending a message loud and clear.

I got berated by one of our good fans when I left the Mobile Bowl a few minutes before the horn sounded after standing in the rain for four hours. We were down 52-28 at the time.

The game Saturday was 4:15 long. Talk to the idiot referees who tossed the linen on the field 27 times and reviewed another 5-6 plays.

Terrible fan. Shame on you. Memphis to Diego would be disappointed you didn't cry Saturday!
