He's got a window with Nebraska struggling, Iowa is always a 8-9 win team he has them at home 2020, Wisconsin loses some key seniors they might be beatable next season. As Bronco fans found out in 2016 PJ always looks a year ahead. He had the Cotton Bowl logo up on the meeting room video board as soon as the 2015 season ended.
You have to hand it to him, he had a vision for WMU Broncos football program.
The vision disappeared like spilt ice cream on an asphalt driveway in August-in Georgia. But while it lasted it was great.
Moments like that are what life is about, cherish them.

Polarized feelings about Fleck abound, but putting that all aside... Yeah, 2016 was once-in-a-lifetime material. Assuming the college football structure remains the same, I figure the MAC will get a team in the NY6 once per decade (most years will be AAC or Boise). The stars really aligned that season.
And thank God for Spillane's late INT in the MACC. Watching Ohio score a winning TD as time expired would've went down as the biggest dagger in our program's history, far worse than CMU 2000.

Or NIU in 2019...

Or name a building after him. We could do worse-and have.
Are there any buildings on campus named after anyone who stayed only four years, then cut and ran after one successful one and they had been given everything he/she wanted-their predecessors never had?

That's kinda the point. Who has ever been that successful to have the opportunity?
51 years a Bronco fan.

Well, I think we can get 1 out of 4 with this attribute in the mix, with just about any coach! :)

Yeah, I think it'd be silly to give PJ a statue. 4 years, one of them 1-11. The last one, we won the MAC, ranked.
If Minnesota didn't have their controversy end-of-season, he would have stayed at least 4 more years due to a big-pimpin' 10-year contract on the docket. That next year of course, we likely would have been better than 6-6 (despite NIU & Toledo on the road in a re-boot season) and have gone to a bowl. Although I can't believe we'd have executed any better @USC in our opener, that's for sure. Still, he'd be sitting around for a while, and I would imagine we'd be doing better, but I do not think we'd be Dominant. I do think we'd be going to the MACC game last year and this year, as both seasons came down to a Bad Unexpected Loss.
Since Popa PJ has signed a super long-term contract with MinnesOHTahh, he's not going to be picked up any time soon by anyone.

RE: P.J. Stays......at least for now.
Fleck's DL coach recently left for Rutgers.
Now he had coached there previously, is originally from Brooklyn, and maybe he's getting more money, but otherwise that is not even a lateral move.
Rutgers is the armpit of the Big Ten.
