Definite must-win against what seems to be the worst team in FBS Football.
For what its worth, our last 3 games are all against "CBS Bottom 25 teams": Akron at 1, NIU at 23 and Kent State at 25. All Seem winnable.

All 3 games are definitely winnable, but a big concern is N Illinois and Kent St strength is running the football! After the C Mich, Ball St, W Mich, Toledo, and Buffalo games, can we stop the run? Does Creighton take a chance and play any redshirt freshman? They won't lose any eligibility, and our DL is really bad! Any suggestions from this entire board? Does 7-5 get us a bowl game?

Here are the standing going into tonight's games...
https://www.espn.com/college-football/standings
If we win out, we will have beaten both NIU and Kent State assuring they can't get to 7 Ws.
Akron was out of contention for a bowl bid since say July.
BG can't get to 7 Ws. (that would be 4 of the 12 MAC teams not to make 7 Ws).
I'd have to go through the rest of the schedules to see if there are 'knock out' games where it might come down to where two contending teams meet and the loser is out of it.
MIA/Ohio are both 4 - 4 as to today and play tomorrow. One will be 4 - 5 Thursday morning and need to win out.
MIA/BSU are both 4 - 4 as of today and play the last day of the season.
BSU has a tough road to roe playing WMU, CMU, and MIA.
My guess is to look to MIA and BSU to possibly miss 7 Ws.

Thanks for doing all of this! Will Creighton try anything new regarding players? This DL and LB are really below average for the MAC! If Creighton and his staff can't beat 3 teams with losing records then you can say we're heading backwards...….

Akron has scored 9 total points in their last 3 games. 9 points! EMU is a little soft on defense so I'll be happy if we hold them to 14 pts or less. Of course, we still need to score more than that to win. To feel comfy going into the last 2 games I'd like to see something like a 27-10 win.

Akron should be an easy win! At N Illinois will be a challenge, and Kent St will be a tough game as well! One game at a time!

CC is one game away from tying Dan Boisture for games coached at EMU (4th all time) and one loss away from tying Genyk for 5th in all time losses at EMU

Been tossing this idea around in my head: should Hutchinson start this game?
Let Glass fully heal from whatever injury he's dealing with, and also get Hutch more experience for next season. We'll need Glass for the last 2 games of the year, so why risk further injury?

and use Grissom more. Why they put him in the Buffalo game with only minutes remaining in the game is a mystery to me.

Akron really is terrible this year, it should be an easy win for EMU.

Just now realized that the football and basketball teams play at the same time on Tuesday (hoops 7, football 8). An EMU sports Christmas, of sorts.

No problem.
Hoops will be 'over' at 8; football at 9. In bed by 9:30...

Weather will be bitter cold Tuesday. More like January.

Frank if you or I were the head coach, I think this would be a great idea. Coach Creighton, however, reveres his seniors and if Mike wants to play, he will. At his last press conference he mentioned how his seniors have only 26 days of football left, (an unfortunate reference that he assumes we are not going to a bowl), but he obviously wants to enhance their experience in every way.
If I were the head coach Shaq would have been a spot player after his injury, it would have been Mackey, Parker and for 4 games Branham time. Daugherty catching passes last week? No way if I am the coach, Beydoun, Drummond and Williams need the work instead.
Creighton is who he is, someone who cares about his players beyond the program. I have to respect that.

And look at the B1G standings. IL, IU, etc. are up and NW, NE, etc. are down. Kind of shocking, I would say.
Can we schedule Nebraska for a big payday?
Our victory over Illinois keeps looking better
Nebraska is going the junior college route

Feels like so long ago. I miss the optimism I had after that game.
We’ve won 2 games since then, one of which we needed a miracle punt block to beat an FCS team. We had 6 sacks against Illinois...have we had 6 sacks total the rest of the season?
Winning out would be a nice, but we have a ton to fix going into next season. Especially with all of the losses we will have. Hopefully Creighton can right the ship.

I was looking at the roster going into next year and I feel better about next year's than this years. the returning contributors will have a lot more experience and I really like what we have. I think we will have an experienced Offensive line and some new guys (McAdams, Howie) which will make us better
