I saw a site that picked them 9th, so they are certainly picked toward the bottom of the league. Of course, so were we. Still, I like our chances. Would have been thrilled with a split, on this 2-game swing, but I'm getting a little greedy after winning the first one.

This is how the ball started rolling in 2015-16...Why not us ? Why not Walker?

Started that season with 11 straight wins. 5 were on the road and 1 neutral.

They looked good, they didn't flinch. They could do a little better on turnovers and freethrows, but that was a very good effort against a very respectable opponent and they earned that W. Comparing this one game to the average for 2015-16 "dream season" the only stats that are deficient are turnovers (13 vs 10) and FT% .667 vs .728. 05-stirthepot
What does this team not have that Beard's team did (and don't say "Chris Beard")?

While I like our chances, better than I did 2 days ago, beating Ill St in Normal will be a tough task. They are certainly no worse than a middle of the road Sun Belt team, and winning on the road is always tough. At least, we are going in there with the knowledge that we can win on the road in a tough place to play.

ISU, after our performance in Springfield, would likely take LR very seriously and will be prepared to defend home court. Confident or not, the Trojans may be in for a shock.

Josh Hagins as a senior.

Who would come close to filling that role now?

RE: Missouri State
Beard team had haggins and lock down defense. We also averaged only 10.5 to a game while opponents averaged 14.1.
Last year we averaged 16.3. Big difference.
Who replaces Haggins. This year it looks like coupet

By the time he as a senior Nowell might. When he was a junior Hagins didn't.

Josh Hagins as a senior was something special.
