I think if we get to 3.75, but have the staff dollars, we have a chance to retain him if we want. I think as long as his contract is competitive with what he is worth, he cares more about making sure he can attract a solid staff.

But if White is graduating, who does he have coming in at QB, and how excited is he about developing another kid from the ground up?

I think I remember reading white can get another year.

White can grad transfer anytime to any school 05-stirthepot

Herff, is that you? lol Nevermind.

FYI, Herff already did that last night--four times in a row as a matter of fact.

Ha - not Herff, but sounds like we were on the same thought train.

We should go ahead and take initiative and throw in a $100,000 gambling stipend on top of a 4 million a year contract.

Dunno salary; but tickets sales need to generate X3's the revenue it does.

I wonder how it feels to be a Miss St fan and to know that you are in danger of losing your head coach to Rutgers.

Pay up.

You never been to our section. We got the Candy Man and folks are making 48 inch vertical leaps for left over Halloween Candy. If you are an East sider then rally your troops for other games not just an event day. lol.

But you can take everything everybody in the outdoor seats gives each year over our lifetime and still not smell the checks given each year by the heavy weights sitting in the comfort of the clouds in one year. And I love every one of them.

Real success comes with a price tag. You guys ready to pay it? Or do you belong to the " they raised by ticket $5 and I'm dropping my season tickets" crowd?

White has already been granted one more year.

I'm not sure that's true. I believe the grad transfer immediate eligibility exemption is a one-time exemption. (I know other transfer exemptions are one-time only, but I could be wrong about grad transfers.) It's so rare that it's not clearly addressed in the NCAA manual.

I think it's one of those hotseat, get out in front of the mob, moves. He is not thought very highly of by many in Starkville, and next year is probably it for him unless he wins big (spoiler alert: he won't).

Around here, we call that a "Pastner move". Reckon MSU will supplement his salary at Rutgers?

No chance an OCS would be a stipulation. Saban probably couldnt get a new stadium.

RE: What's the salary number to keep Norvell?
A.) if Novell leaves it is for a top tier job or possibly Arkansas. He has already been approached by low level P5s and said no thanks.
B.) If Arkansas loses you Western Kentucky then it is definitely possible Arky fires Chad Morris
C.) As others have said, a move by Norvell won’t be about the money

We just need to hope Ed O keeps winning at LSU and that Morris gets a 3rd year at Arkansas and takes even deeper into despair to where it is basically toxic.

I have missed seven games since enrolling in 2007.

I'll always be there on that side. Standing and loud.

We bring the noise.

Can someone explain the origins of this Love of LSU Mike supposedly has? I've seen several reference this over the last 4 years, but I have always wondered what precipitated it. Is it something he said in an interview?
