We really took advantage of Gibson vs LBs and Safety. It was fun! I'm sure he had a blast too!

He's deceptively fast. He's got that ability to separate himself from pursuers. I thought he was going to get caught from behind a couple of times and then he just said, "See ya!"

I'd still like to see a 40 time on Gibson.

This stood out to me as well. He is much faster than I realized!

RE: Gibson
I LOVE Doc Holliday's voice over on the WATN site video where he describes the 78 yard run.

While Gibson spins out of & sheds two tackles then is confronted by a SMU DB waiting to tackle him Holliday breaks it down as "Gibson gives him the old "Sammy Davis Jr. tap tap da do swing & miss Amazing" and outracing the rest of the defense down the sideline for the 78-yard touchdown

Wide Receiver Antonio Gibson had quite the game in the Memphis Tigers win over SMU

RE: Gibson
Watch how he switches the ball on the run from scrimmage. He starts with it in the right arm, then once he breaks free from the scrum, he switches it to the outside (left) arm going down the sideline. That's old school football.

It used to be taught (carry the football in the outside arm) this way for 2 reasons. First, it makes it harder to strip by keeping the ball away from the defender. Second, it allows the inside arm to be free to stiff arm defenders.

Some current coaches have gone away from switching because they are afraid runners will fumble while making the switch. I like the old way. I believe Patrick Taylor took some credit for teaching this technique to Antonio.

RE: Gibson
This may seem a bit odd but on that 78 yrd touchdown I thought he moved/looked a lot like Deangelo. To me it is the combination of the build, the movement of the upper body, and the way he moved his feet while breaking free and changing directions. He has been a solid yardage after catch this year.
