RE: No ESPN3 or ESPN+ coverage
Once we beat the piss out of a few of these cupcakes, ESPN will be adjusting their coverage.

Why so many on CBSSN? Can I watch on-line for CBSSN games?

Just the TV Deal? You can watch online with certain online TV providers. You can search multiple providers using Suppose.tv. I have Playstation Vue specifically because it included CBSSN, but I'll be looking for a new provider when PSVue is shut down in January.

ESPN+ will replace ESPN3. Not sure about the timeline, probably April.

ESPN+ has not been announced as replacing ESPN3. I'm not saying it won't eventually replace it, but that has not been something that ESPN has said as of yet.

ESPN3 requires a compatible TV provider and you login with your TV account credentials. I get it with my Playstation Vue login, and I used my Charter login back when I had that for TV. If you have a TV service with ESPN you probably have access to ESPN3.

I can't imagine them keeping both ESPN3 and plus. YoutubeTV dropped (or was dropped by) ESPN3 earlier this year. I don't really understand why ESPN3 content is not included in ESPN+ content.

I don't think your statement about ESPN3 and youtube TV is correct. You still need to use the app to use ESPN3...It never was a listed channel

It's on the upcoming live list on the New Espn app now ... As is the UIC game ... So at least we know the first 3 games are on Streaming or TV. Also, I believe Hulu carries all Espns and CbsSn with the right options ... Not sure how that works with Espn3 streaming though.

Espn3 picks up the feed for it's games from local production companies ... That's why Greg Gaston usually does the P by P. Maybe that changes with Espn+. The one thing that bugs me on Espn3 streams is they might miss the beginning of the game ... Showing that spinning "Your game will begin shortly" message ! !

I know it's not a listed channel but I used to be able to access it via the Roku app. Now it doesn't work.

From the Youtube TV official Reddit account

RE: No ESPN3 or ESPN+ coverage
ESPN3 is not a channel in the traditional sense. It is the collection of games/events not scheduled on the broadcast channels but can be streamed. As far as the move to ESPN+, I think that will largely depend on the viewership Tiger events get. If the stream has enough viewers to watch streaming ads then it is on ESPN3. If not then +. But I could be wrong because plus was supposed to be ad free but apparently they started doing pre-roll ads Oct 1.

Why would they not have ads...Seems just wasteful

I would rather watch adds then just dead air.

Because people paying for the subscription were sold on the fact there would be no ads.

No, but most media types who follow the business of sports think it’ll eventually be rolled in as contracts expire. If you get ESPN through a provider, you can watch ESPN3 games on the app (ESPN).

FWIW, those games should end up on ESPN3. Ole Miss is already listed there on the AAC website. The holdup may be whether or not a local station picks up those games.

No, it will prompt you for your TV provider.

You're correct. It prompts me for my provider which is YouTubeTV and they don't have an agreement with ESPN to carry ESPN3 content anymore. So why on earth did I buy ESPN+? So I could get espn3 material. I figured what's 5 bucks a month.

Of course I now find out I can't get what used to be free espn3 content through espn+ even though I'm paying a monthly fee for it. This all makes sense doesn't it?

I'm trying to get a refund for Espn+ since it's worse than free Espn3. It's really frustrating. What do we have to do to see this team play a game for once?

Edit: I think I'll just get a 7 day free trial for SlingTV and try the Espn3 app through that, just so I can see the game. Of course ESPN will probably have some kind of block on apps for trial subscriptions.

You probably got it through your internet provider. ESPN deals are weird. the TV channels are based on who you get TV from. ESPN3 is based on who you get internet from, but sometimes also who you get ESPN3 from your TV provider too.
