85 percent on foul shots!!!!!!! Last year we were awful...…...and that doesn't matter who you're playing against.

For one possession at least.
Good half. Defense got a little scatter-brained at the end, and we are going to struggle with rebounding (shocking right). But you really couldn’t ask for much more offensively. Morgan and Barnes both had some impressive assists, and we have some shooters now, which is nice.
Jalen King is the biggest surprise though. He clearly worked a ton on his game, especially his hands, over the summer. Great stuff from him.

This team is new and playing to win. Sometimes a veteran team just shows up and treats the game as an x-hibition game.
Biggest problem: Tom H. doing the PxP. He has to memorize the roster and jersey numbers. I hate to need the roster to watch the game.

Right? I have the sound off, and had no clue, at first, who some of the guys were that came off the bench.

Props to Helmer. I can not deny that I have the roster up in another tab right now trying to learn and figure out who's who!

Surprisingly we shot 63% from the field and 50% from 3 before 11:00am. Hmm, I guess I'll take that!

Same. Although these guards look better than Parris did at any point last season. Maybe he got passed up?
Hope Binelli isn’t hurt or anything. Is he dressed?

I’m stunned. And on good shots too. It’s crazy what good passing can do.

Hopefully nothing serious. We could really use his size.
Both Chris’s have been good off the bench. James can really shoot, and Barnes can get to the basket.

Quick recap!!!!!! 6 players scored in double figures! We shot FT great, nice ball movement, James can stroke it, and we've 10 players on this team! Parris should've transferred, he's not as good as Spottsville, James, or Dillard!!!!!! Barnes is the player that make this team really good! And we've 3 international players! That has to be a first in E Mich history!!!!!!!

Yeah, it looks like say 5 did not dress or play:
1). Binelli,
2). Parris,
3). Gibson (inj),
4). Pacheo,
5). Gibbs

RE: Game Week/DAY: (MBB): Siena Heights
That was fun. More fun than I thought it would be, honestly. Some of the newcomers were impressive, but the biggest story to me was the holdovers. Groce, Toure, and King were all great. They all seem to have improved from last season, but we will see if that can hold all season. King, especially, looked like a brand new player. He was aggressive on both ends, which was always his issue. Scored 10 points...did he have that many in the last two seasons combined?
For the newcomers, Morgan stood out the most to me. He did everything well. Chris James was fantastic as well. Looks like he can score in a multitude of ways. Great find by Murphy.
Again, it was Siena Heights on a Friday morning, but there is a lot to be optimistic about. Hopefully Binelli plays soon, because we are lacking in size. Bigger teams will destroy us on the glass. But we will score some points this year, and we have a bunch of unselfish guys that like to run. We should have some fun games. I’m excited to watch them again.

Less highlight plays but more unselfish, team play.
Sometimes I think last year's team was more about 'me and SportsCenter' than the team.
In life is about ability and effort and this team may not have the God given talents of last year's team but the effort is there. This will be a scrappy team.
Last year's team reminded me of last year's Washington Wizards. The Wiz had a lot of expensive, talented players, (Wall, Beal, Porter, etc.) but played like S*it. This year they are very young and scrappy.

RE: Game Week/DAY: (MBB): Siena Heights
Murphy had a great sound byte after the game about King. Said he had a long talk with him at the end of last season, and that King was frustrated about not playing more. Murphy told him to put in the work, watch film, and hit the weight room. It looks like King listened.
Give that kid some props. In today’s “transfer if I’m not happy” environment, he stuck around while pretty much everyone else left. And if he stuffs the stat sheet like he did today, he won’t have to worry about minutes anymore.

I heard that too.
And also, Ty supposedly added 15 lbs of muscle which shows dedication and hard work.
