Exclamation 59,506
Saw this attendance number in a game recap. It looked and sounded great on TV.

I dont think I've ever seen the stadium that full with blue in my life. The aerial view was spectacular. It looked like nothing but Tiger fans.

From the air, the stadium looked a little sparse towards the very top rows. Those must have been the couple thousands tickets they couldn't sell, so local companies bought them up just to say it was a sell-out. Despite that, it still looked like a great crowd. I'd guess it was 95% full.

I thought it looked almost full early, except little areas beside the East side skyboxes, but then got empty up high partway through the 3rd. Heck, I can't blame them, I got tired of watching after 3 hours too, especially us giving up 3rd Down after 3rd Down all night.

I didn't get tired. Maybe the 54 points we scored had something to do with it.

Fastest 4 hours and 15 minutes I’ve ever spent.
A few students left after halftime homecoming announcements. Not everyone is enough of a FB fan to sit in the cold when there is a party waiting.

With our porous secondary, how could you possibly think it was over?

That’s exactly what I saw.

RE: 59,506
Flipping around, I saw TONS of empty seats around the SEC, including a half-empty stadium at Fayetteville. But the statistical mean attendance reported for the SEC games yesterday was just under 81,000, and they claimed 52,000 in Fayetteville.

So, whatever. Our stadium was at least 95% filled.

PS, ESPN claims Auburn's stadium seats 67,000 but they reported 85,000 in attendance.

RE: 59,506
Memphis has shown the willingness, ability to fill the Liberty Bowl on a chilly evening. Let’s continue to upgrade our OOC schedule and give them another reason to show up. CMN and crew have created a quality product with a high value to price ratio. Let’s go Memphis!! Time to abandon all your former collegiate ties and completely embrace the UofM!!

*Hoping Calkins takes this and runs with it
