Great day for the city and University
Incredible day for the city of Memphis and the Tigers. Both showed out! Loved the game day experience. It took me about an hour to get from second to third. I wish we could do this every weekend. Had a great day great time Go Tigers!!!

The importance of the University of Memphis to this city cannot be overstated.

everyone involved 'nailed it' in terms of execution. Beale street, the game day crowd, the LB, the tigers, even ESPN was extremely good in its coverage of the city and the University. Wish I was there.

I’d be in favor of execution for the refs...

I cant remember a football gameday that made me happier to see than today. This is what I thought it could be and wondered for years why it wasn't

Outstanding

Very special day and the city, the university, and the people executed it perfectly. One of a kind event that is difficult to ever predict will happen in any given year, doubly so for programs not in the privileged Power 5. Looked great, and it sounds like the network folks were impressed.

Assoc. AD Jeff Crane said 17,000 on Beale for Gameday...still trying to verify that number though.

I heard there where no arrests made that day, no murders, no robberies. I haven't tried to substantiate this... candidly I don't want to know if it's inaccurate.

I was thinking the same thing. It just seemed like a perfect day in Memphis. Just everybody coming together and having a good time all day long.

Yep, crime free day;
Crime Free Day in Memphis!!!

Does that mean all the criminals are Tiger fans that were busy all day?

Actually, it says the entire city has been crime free for the past 7 days as well. I have a hard time believing that.

https://www.crimereports.com/agency/memp...75&zoom=12

I expanded the filters and told it to show me even traffic accidents and fires in the past 7 days. Still no results.

RE: Great day for the city and University
Well I've run into traffic accidents every day this week on my commute, so that parts not right.

I did hear the news say no arrests on Saturday. The VERY NEXT story they ran was how someone had their boat stolen from their driveway on Saturday. So, yeah.

No arrests is not the same as crime free.
