Or at least, hold the ball for three downs and let us punt without turning it over on our end of the field.

The bar is quite low at this point. Embarrassing. QB coach has done awful job IMO. Erdely much worse last season than his first year and TJ3 looks totally unprepared for this defense.

The team has lost composure because the QB didn't have it to start the game.

We lost 30-something guys from last year's squad...
We could easily be down 30+ points....

Clark needs several years to build a balanced roster...

if you thought we would win this game, you need to keep watching the sport, hang out and listen to some current/former coaches and not believe BigD and alot of the other trolls/alt-accounts on this board....

The only position that is killing us right this moment is the QB position. Dude is a turnover machine. Everything else right now is manageable

We shouldn't be down 23 points when the other team has 127 yards

If you had told me before the game that we were going to hold them to 154 yards in the first half, I would have felt pretty good about our chances.

Proud of our D so far, except for Marino's personal foul.

Dodged a bullet there. Again, RT may be as big a problem as QB

LOL, I watched UAB practice when they were D3. Never thought we would win this game but we do need to not look bush league losing. Hurts our credibility in recruiting and with the average non die-hard fans. We have been very competitive on the defensive side but we look way out of our depth on offense. If we could just **** and not fall back in it on O, this would be a one score game. Both sides lost just about everybody from last year so why the discrepancy?

Just one opinion but I think Clark made a big mistake rehiring his friend Vincent.

I think a lot of his problem is the OL and the lack of a rushing game. he thinks he has to win the game by himself and takes too many chances as a result.

Total melt downs against the only two decent teams we've played so far, and that's giving WKU a lot of credit. You can cover and recover from a lot of things but multiple turnovers by your QB ain't one of them.

I put most of the blame on the OC/QB coach. He prepares the QB and calls the plays. If we had called a conservative game and played to our D, we would be in this game.

Or maybe Clark could’ve recruited a more balanced roster out the gate. Name some coaches, lol I’m not a troll guess coaches are overall smarter human beings lmao.

Seriously, this defense has played like we're already in the AAC. Unfortunately, our O has been relegated to the OVC apparently.

Biggest loss last year may have been the O-Line coach. They haven’t improved as a group as run blockers and the talent seems to be there

Yup. Pretty sure Wright was our recruiting coordinator as well. A huge loss.

I think sometimes you can over think things when what you see is what you get.

1. It's a new O-line. Honesty, they've played better than expected imo.

2. The biggest disappointment is Tyler Johnston III. He is clearly having the Sophomore jinx season.

Sad, and embarrassing, but still funny....on that 3rd and 23.

Mitchell picks up 12, goes out of bounds just past the first stick, and thinks he has a first down. Starts motioning first down. Except there's a second first down marker on the other end of that chain, and he was still 11 yards short.

Awkward.

Trying not to dog pile on the guy, but, yeah.

I'll put it this way: after the WKU game I looked back in our football records and I couldn't find another qb with 4 interceptions in a FBS game for UAB. I did not find the stats on one of McGee's years so Austin Brown could have that distinction as well. TJ3 is one INT away from tying his own record, in the same season. Hopefully somebody will correct me and he won't be the record holder.

Erdely had 16 TD's and 4 INT's the Return Season. Just sayin'.

And coach Williams our best recruiter.

Especially number 2, with no backup groomed or being groomed
