Women's soccer
A disappointing season came to an end Friday, as NU lost to Elon in the CAA WSOC quarterfinals 2-1.

NU hit 4 posts in this game and carried the play but allowed a game-winning goal with 2 minutes left in regulation.

NU was the 4th seed and goes home early. Let's hope this program rebounds next year.

I paid for FloSports. If you pay, https://www.flofc.com/events/6522267-201...ng=6588159 has a replay of the game. As a Hofstra fan, they won 5-0 hosting Elon and played a 2-2 tie at you, so based on that Hofstra should be happy to face Elon, but it didn't work that way with you beating Elon 4-0 to end the regular season.

You have the longest active streak of reaching the CAA Tournament at 9 years, and Elon was last in four of their first five years in the CAA before this year. You had more shots on goal, 10 to 3. The CAA is 11th of 31 in the Conference RPI, and the First Team had only one senior.

RE: Women's soccer
NU came up with a big win Thursday night at Hofstra 1-0.

NU is now 6-6-1 (3-2 in the CAA) and is in 3rd place.

Hofstra held a 25-9 edge in shot attempts, including 15 attempts during the second half.

The win broke Hofstra's 21-game regular season unbeaten streak in CAA play dating back to October 7, 2018. It also snapped HU's streak of 24 unbeaten home matches, the longest in the nation, stretching all the way back to October 4, 2018; that loss also came by way of the Huskies, 1-0. The unbeaten streak lasted 1,106 days.

NU hosts Elon Sunday at 1 pm.

NU comes up short losing to Hofstra 2-1.

They had an early 1-0 lead before Hofstra scored two unanswered goals.

Considering how they started the season it was a valiant effort for NU to reach the finals.
