Butch Jones would be a very "Rutgers" hire.

No malice to Jones. If he wants the job and they want him it'd be a good hire.

Rutgers had success with Schiano previously. They should go after him again. Butch is very similar. Either make sense.

Not bad idea. They are going to need a really innovate guy long term. That is a division with OSU, PSU, Michigan, MSU.

Think they are going to want more of a disciplinarian. Kiffin doesn't strike me as such.

Two names getting tossed around for FSU of moderate interest to us are UK's Stoops (actually both Stoops bros) and Memphis' Norvell. I haven't seen it mentioned around here much, but Norvell is probably a more desirable option than Fickell on most P5 wishlists due to his varied geographical experience (and probably for his offense focus and youth too.)

Hope it is Norvell. Might make the team distracted.

His pocketbook says otherwise. His buyout at FSU is something like $18 mil.

Only has a $500,000 buyout...that seems like abject buffoonery by the Memphis AD knowing that he'll lose him eventually.
