Jam packed episode. The boys put Georgia Southern in the rear-view. South Alabama PxP man JT Crabtree & Dave Shultz stop by the pod to discuss, the game, the impact of a new stadium, Kane Wommack, Jake Bentley and we even got to a couple Scott Farmer stories. Stick and stay for another edition of Behind Enemy Lines, the unabridged version.

Captain and Chief Creative Officer of FishBait Solutions, Rick Jones, joins Ragin Review for an incredible discussion. Rick's clients include, The World Cup, The PGA, ESPN, MasterCard, The ACC Network, The Olympics, The V foundation, Bank of America, and Wimbledon. He also assisted The University of Missouri during their move from the Big 12 to the SEC.

We start with an inside look at the Mike Alden Report, Rick's responsibilities with Louisiana Athletics, his impressions of the cULture and our potential in the market place of collegiate athletics. We'll navigate so many different topics, including Realignment, the future of the SBC, TV Networks, the viability of the Ragin Cajuns brand, developing a real rivalry, rethinking the GameDay experience and so many more quotable moments. We're proud to bring you this small piece of Louisiana Athletics History!

"I'm looking forward to the day when GameDay comes to Lafayette" [9:13]

"Success is performing to the limits of your potential" [47:34]

"One of the things I've found in Lafayette that's a weakness is, I don't know who your rival is. But I'll tell you who your rival is. It's the school in Baton Rouge. You just haven't accepted it yet." [57:35]

"If I was comparing you guys to App State or Coastal, no disrespect to App St or Coastal, but ****, they're hard to get to; they're kind of in the middle of no where and y'all are easy to get to. " [1:01:32]

What is it with Cajun preoccupation of pioneering around the Blue Ridge Mountains? There are things called cars and airports now. You can ditch the mule and wagon for a motorized carriage that can even drive itself with this new fangled self-driving technology. No machetes needed. No black powder rifles. Bears aren't an issue in a car, nor are carriage robbers.

Dang man.

Coastal has an Airport, though it takes some connections, like 20 minutes from their campus. So what is so hard about getting there?

Well, that was Rick Jones' opinion, not anyone here.

Thanks for listening though. What did you think of the interview overall?

Yeah, I was a little puzzled by that comment as well. Of all the criticism of Coastal, I've never heard it being hard to get to. 20 million tourists come to the area every year.

Yeah, I was a little puzzled by that comment as well. Of all the criticism of Coastal, I've never heard it being hard to get to. 20 million tourists come to the area every year.

Myrtle is "rural" in a sense that it is quite far from a major city. Once East of Columbia and Charlotte you're what, 90 minutes from Myrtle down 74-130-9-17 and 26 to 501? Two hours from Charlotte and maybe 90 minutes from Columbia?

Other than that, it isn't hard to get to for anyone. Hell, when I went to North Myrtle (my dad actually lives in Carolina Forest) in July my 14 year old F-150 got 25 miles per gallon in the 5.4 L engine. If anything, it's easier because it's all downhill from inland areas. The airport is small but the traffic in and out is constant (go stay at the Double Tree south of the strip).

App is "difficult" to get to but only in the sense that the airport isn't in town. I don't know what the preoccupation with driving up the mountain is because it's four lanes up and almost completely straight now compared to how it was 15 years ago where it was like driving up a literal 2 lane wagon trail.

It goes back to Mark Hudspeth's comments that getting to App was so difficult and that's why they continued to lose. And now the comments are still there and I still don't understand them.

Not the only interesting thing but it was the first bit that I found entertaining, especially the Coastal bit. They have an International Airport right off of the same highway as Coastal.
