We cannot sustain drives and require big plays to get it done. I wouldn't bet on them.

I never bet on the Tigers. Too much emotion involved to cloud my judgment. And I agree with your thinking. Which Brady White shows up is too big of a variable.

We don’t seem to have long clock eating drives but we score a lot of touchdowns.

In the one game this season where some clock eating was necessary, in the opener, we drained half the fourth quarter away and then purposefully avoided another score

Yes. I would argue that the fact that the spread has actually moved in Memphis's direction shows that the national perception of Memphis has changed - they have, arguably, the number 15 team in the country coming to town and they are expected to win. Tigers continue to change minds.

If I was a gambling man I'd take SMU at the very least on the spread. Can absolutely see UM winning this under similiar conditions as they did last week, especially with the FG game SMU has this season.

But to be honest I have questions about the Memphis DB's ability to cover a genuine passing team, as was the case last week. Tulsa had, I believe, nearly 600 yards of total offense and doesn't have the overall offense SMU has. Don't believe the Tigers can keep up

You may be right, but our defense has looked better in other games. If all you’ve seen of us is the Tulsa game, then I could see how you would think our defense wouldn’t be up to the challenge.
