penny prides himself in not micro managing his payers, so he understands a lot of the bad shot selection last year, because they had so many freshman not being micro-managed. Thinks itll be drastically better this year

Interview with Dawkins

-Says still waiting on CJ Walker’s waiver, he’s hopeful it will be approved, says Walker is really versatile and will be a good two way player.

-Really high on Sean Mobley, says he makes really good decisions and also has a lot of versatility.

-Says Darius Perry is an excellent shooter and has started to be the vocal leader of the team

-says we have games still scheduled with Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida State, and trying to get into an MTE.

-Says Moses Bol will play, has a lot of talent and plays really hard but is still very raw

For the rest of it he just talks about covid and voting

The NCAA, during a pandemic not seen in such intensity in a hundred years, should grant all transfers.

They should, but they already denied a few transfers

Such a boring and lazy preview. ECU and Tulane as the bottom two, predictable. I wish someone had the guts to pick Temple last lmao. Houston sweeping the top pick and Memphis sweeping the #2 is also lame. They were basically consensus on the top four ordering and the bottom three grouping. Also, I love Mills but I would put the odds of him winning AAC POY under 5%. Houston players get no love in the POY voting. I assume they just looked at last year's all conference teams, saw he was one of two returners from the 2nd team (all the 1st team guys are gone), and gave him the edge over Gardner because of Houston's projected finish.

historically tcu is trash...projection wise they are projected to not be good

but they have a elite coach (jamie dixon) who is almost always never bad.. last year was the first truly bad year under dixon in his almost 15 year career ..so if they magically ending up good it would not surprise

Year after year the experts pick Temple in the bottom of the American. This year they will finally be right. A true rebuilding year for the good guys.

I fervently hope Sampson keeps him on the bench. Mills reminds me of the Iceman - smooth and lethal.

On a separate note, someone needs to tell the author CV-19 cut short the season. He writes: “Both the Tigers and Bulls harbored NCAA Tournament hopes that were dashed by the loss of those key players.“

Tennessee wisely backs out of playing the Tigers in Nashville. COVID-19 gave them the cover they needed.

RE: *** Basketball News Thread (Part 4) ***
looking around the aac these seems to be the "locked in" *noteable* games
5 or 7 OOC for everyone this year

UCF-
Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida State.. looking for MTE

Houston
South Carolina, Alabama, Texas Tech, (Gonzaga or Auburn)

Temple
The Big 5 Games (4 games), (2 of Rhode Island, Minnesota, Virginia Tech)

Wichita
Oklahoma State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Dayton, (Creighton or Utah), (Sioux final game)

Memphis
Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, (Texas A&M or WVU), (Sioux final game)

Cincy
Xavier, Furman .. looking for MTE

SMU
Georgia, Dayton

Tulsa
TCU, (South Carolina or Northwestern)

USF
LSU.. looking for MTE

Tulane
Hosting MTE (all mid-majors),

ECU
no confirmed games but it's just expected to be a condensed version of original schedule which was bad

There are quite a large number of games I haven't mentioned but all were pre-covid schedules and nothing has been noted about them since;
examples: Temple vs Virginia, SMU vs Arizona state/vandy, Tulsa vs Arkansas, Tulane vs Florida state etc..
