Interesting, wonder if that's any indication that we'll have a new arena by then.

Or maybe it is just "about time" that it happened, since it seems like everyone else has hosted it (just from memory, I'm sure that Delaware, Elon, and JMU have already hosted it recently).

The Hall will be under construction in 2024, so they'll host the tournament in Adair.

2024 is an interesting timeline. Given the length needed for fundraising, awarding contract, planning, building, etc., I would think 2024 very well could be in the midst of construction. On the other hand it could have been something where Huge (or whoever bids on this) said "here's our timeline, and we're 90% confident it will be done by then" which is probably good enough. Complete speculation on my part, but it would be great to see this all done by the 2024 tournament, which presumably means for the start of the 2023-2024 season.

Maybe, it just seems like we have some sort of timeline for construction, and this is either near the end of it or after it's done. I don't know what the plan is while the Hall is under construction, but it seems unlikely we'd host something while it's being renovated
