Looked like the lower bowl was full plus suites, etc.

I couldn't see the upper bowl along the side court.

Technically Ypsi was the host. The HS games at EMU have been much better this year than the mess last year. Police presence inside and out, people directing traffic, crossing guards for Hewitt, concessions, etc. I think EMU has finally found a good revenue stream for the Convo.

He was actually not that sharp. Missed more shots than usual and shot like EMU from the FT line.

In the last few days, I’ve seen B/R say that he shouldn’t be allowed to play HS hoops any more and I’ve read a report that said he would be a lottery pick in this year’s draft. Sheeeeeeeesh.

Why would anyone say Bates shouldn't be allowed to play h.s. hoops? He is after all a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT.

It used to be said that opinions are like a*sholes, everyone has one.

P.S. This year's NBA draft class (2020) is so weak that the winner of the lottery would love to be able to draft Bates and wait until he turns 19 before he can turn pro.

Little pivot. I remember from my h.s. days our school played River Rouge coached by Lofton Greene. I still wonder why there isn't the 'mercy rule' in high school sports.

Complete fail for EMU and the local police depts. 6K people at the Convo tonight and the parking lots are complete gridlock. No traffic control. A 1/2 hour to get out of the lots. Just a mess. A complete sh!tshow.

Don't be sorry my friend, I appreciate the observation and have heard the same from other attendees. The Convo is a community asset and if we are to exploit its true potential to the community, EMU, Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township and Pittsfield Township all need to assist in this effort. If you were to "knee jerk" identify a villain, I would suspect the City, the administration there reminds me of Detroit prior to Duggan.

I've also got a gripe with the lack of a mobile signal in and around the Convo. I've noticed the same at Rynearson. It's like that stretch of Hewitt is off the grid.

I've got ATT. Does anyone else also experience this?

The guest wifi inside the Convo also doesn't work for me.

I’ve never been able to get service while in the seats at the Convo. I can connect to the WiFi, but that’s it. Never had a problem in the Convo concourse or at Rynearson, though. I have Xfinity, but used to have AT&T.

Excluding the concourses - which i think are in desperate need of something - anything, the in stadium space of the convo is fantastic. the building itself generates a lot of cash for the school and thats great. i wish theyd sell the naming rights though.
