RE: Week 10 AP Poll
After the way Notre Dame played at home would have liked to see us ahead of them, but overall I can’t complain too much. If we can continue to take care of business we will continue to love up anyway.

RE: Week 10 AP Poll
I'm absolutely good with this. I posted the Coaches Poll in the gridiron thread and we didn't move from #18. The fact that we have 3 teams in the AP plus Navy and UCF likely just to the outside of the Top 25 is fantastic for the American.

Minnesota beat South Dakota State, Georgia Southern, and Fresno State by a combined 13 points...that's who voters think is the #13 team in the country lol.

They're 12 in SP+. I know those specific games weren't too impressive, but they've been playing well. I think they're fairly legit. Not top 5-10 legit, but somewhere between 10-20 is probably about right.

True, but if it was us, we’d all be complaining about not being in the Top 10.

Three AAC teams in the top 25, I like it! More opportunity for us to move up!

I mean...we at least have wins against decent teams this year. I think we're a better team than Minnesota, full-stop. They'll be exposed the next three weeks and PJ Fleck will end up in East Lansing.

That's why I'm not going to fret too much about Minnesota, because similar to Boyzee St, the proof is in the pudding. Sota has to play Penn St, Iowa and Wisky over the next four weeks. They'll drop at least two of those.

The computer rankings love UC. Here's the 6 computers used by the BCS poll:
Colley: 6 (!)
Massey: 12
Sagarin: 26
Anderson: 12
Wolfe: 8
Billingsley: 17
Average: 13.5

I'd like to see a little more distance between us and App St. and Boyz-2-men.
It's a shame that the inferior CUSA and MWC seemingly get equal respect as the AAC. However, if we win out they cant touch us.

I don't think they get the same respect as the AAC.
Louisiana Tech is 7-1 and got only 6 votes in the AP poll. UAB is 6-1 and is getting zero votes.
6-2 UCF is 28th in both polls. 6-2 Air Force, 6-2 Georgia State, and 6-2 Wyoming are getting zero votes in the AP. Bear in mind, Wyoming beat an SEC team.

Yea. Perception wise the aac is heads and shoulders above those other leagues (and rightfully so).

I'm curious to see what's going to happen when half of the top 9 are guaranteed at least one more loss, as they all still play each other in some way, shape or form. (sans Clemson)
LSU vs Bama
OSU vs Penn St
Florida vs Georgia
Oregon vs Utah (Likely Pac 12 championship game)

Bolded, I agree and the poll voting pretty much affirms that this season.
What is more disturbing is some of the inane copy being posted at ESPN.com and elsewhere suggesting App State is in the thick of things for the Cotton Bowl. If being undefeated were the objective standard for the G5 bid, by that logic, UCF should have had a lot more love in the polls and been a playoff contender in its undefeated run.
The reason given as to why UCF was not was strength of schedule. Yet it seems some writers now are willing to toss schedule strength aside and make this a beauty contest--rewarding an undefeated season with the Cotton Bowl. Where's the logic? I'm hoping the CFP rankings make it clear that an AAC team will be the one in tall cotton at the end of December.

SMU/Memphis game day this week!
Week 14 would've been an interesting choice if UC and Memphis win till then. Would likely be a Top 10 Cincinnati vs. a Top 15 Memphis with the Iron Bowl on (OSU-Michigan would be on Fox Gameday)

If Boise St. was still undefeated, would they be ranked ahead of SMU? Yes or no?

Should they be....no! But yes I think they would be ranked higher probably 12-14 range.
