Fox question
So next week Fox has the following schedule-
noon- Nebraska 4-4 2-3 @ Purdue 2-6 1-4
4pm- 12 Utah 7-1 4-1 @ Washington 5-3 2-3
8pm 11 Oregon 6-1 4-0(playing now) @ USC 5-3 4-1

Does Fox utterly waste Gus Johnson/Joel Klatt on Big noon, or does Fox make the smart decision and have them call one of the other 2 games(I'd probably have them call Oregon/USC quite frankly, especially if Oregon wins tonight)?

RE: Fox question
That's Fox's noon game? They should move Gus Johnson to the night game and have Statler and Waldorf call amateur hour instead.

RE: Fox question
OK, I'll guess:

Tim Brando/Spencer Tillman on Neb-Pur
Gus Johnson/Joel Klatt on UU-UW
Joe Davis/Brock Huard on UO-USC

RE: Fox question
Not sure what the Big Ten was thinking with their schedule this week. Only 4 games scheduled. 6 teams have a bye week. They could have easily moved PSU-MSU from last week to this week.

Last week they had 8 games, nobody off, including OSU-Wisc and ND- Mich in addition to PSU-MSU. This week they have no good games. Very odd.

What you suggested is how Fox assigned the announcer teams for these three games.

makes sense IMO. Oregon with more of a chance right now in the playoff race. And USC is well USC.

This season is a bit off since everyone has 2 bye weeks (or even 3 bye weeks for those who played in Week 0) due to the late Thanksgiving date on the calendar.

In any event, the Big Ten scheduling appears to be more of a bone being thrown to the actual ticket buyers in the stands compared to TV interests. As you well know in Big Ten country, the weather can turn very quickly in November. (Heck, we're dealing with snow already in Chicago. This isn't great trick-or-treating weather at all.) Pretty much every athletic department in the Big Ten would rather have a bye week in November instead of October when the Midwest generally has great (or even perfect) football weather and schools are scheduling their homecoming games, all of which boost ticket sales and attendance.

On the flip side, everyone still needs to play on rivalry week on Thanksgiving weekend and schools generally don't want to have a bye during the week before the last game of the season, either. This means that a disproportionate number of bye weeks in the Big Ten practically need to occur during the first week or two in November.

Wedge's lineup is correct:
