That kind of makes up for the way we lost the Temple game.

We've been on the other end of this about a million times.

It's about time we caught a break

I’m with you. But it’s the most unsatisfying victory I’ve ever watched. And it sure beats the alternative.

We didn't deserve to win that one as much as we deserved to lose this one, but I'll take it.

After watching that performance, I'm suddenly not as enamored with next weeks game with SMU as I was earlier....

I agree with some of the earlier posters - we didn't deserve that win, but I'll take it. And, as 450bench said, it definitely is tough to be a Tiger fan.

honestly though, tulsa got what they deserved playing for a FG as time expired with a known shaky kicker.

RE: well that about killed me
Never quite bought the "deserve" thing. You win or lose. It's an entire game. Both teams practice the same amount, play for 60 minutes, and by the same rules (theoretically).

We were the better team. We led most of the game. We made some dumb penalties that helped them sustain drives, along with one bad punt. We also had a big fake punt. We had our D on the field too long - like many games in previous years. There were a couple of questionable calls. We had a couple of bad fumbles and missed a FG. We had a TD called back. They missed a couple of FG's. We scored more on 40 fewer plays. In the end, we won.

We deserved it as much as they did.

Don't be skeered. We are a different team at home. Remember SMU "stole" one at Tulsa just a couple weeks ago.

Winning on the road is hard! Ask Oklahoma, Texas, ND, etc.

Yep should have won the Temple game, should have lost this one. I guess things even out. 2 home conference games left.against the two highest ranked teams in the AAC, and two conference road games left. It just keeps getting harder. Hang in there Tiger fans this maybe the most exciting ride of our lives!

Has everyone forgotten that SMU trailed Tulsa by 21 in the 2nd half, and won in 3OT, mostly b/c Tulsa's kicker gagged more than once?

I think the SMU game will be another barn burner. And we play a helluva lot better at home.

We've been on the other end of this about a million times.

It's about time we caught a break

2019 Short end of a reversed call on the field late Temple Bad
2019 Made late sack for safety Mssipppi Good
2018 Missed tying FG in Bowl game against Wake Forest Bad
2018 Late likely winning TD lost with holding call, UCF Bad
2018 late fumbles and missed tackles at Navy lose by 1 Bad
2017 IA State fumbles at goal line late Good
2017 Missed Peach Bowl clinching FG UCF title game Bad
2017 Late turnovers road comeback at Houston Good
2017 Navy turnovers nice home win Good
2017 Pick Six with UCLA and late int clincher Good
2016 Late no interference call loss to USF Bad
2015 Future NFL kicker missed at Houston Bad

A few other close games with Houston and Bowling Green but the above close ones had late signature moments. We had some nice breaks in 2017 until the end but otherwise we were in the short end of late
