Both, maybe? Interesting question. I also think it has to do with our young wideouts. Against BG a few times Hall and Bussell were left with a CB with zero safety support. No throws or fades their way in the end zone. I guess if you have a good OL and RBs, and you can lean on them to impose your will, you do. Lester said they even ran some power blocking schemes.

I think the weather is a factor, and I don’t know why Cubit never saw the value of it over a west coast offense with Florida boys in miserable weather. My frustrations at not passing more aside, this was the one aspect from the previous coach that I’m glad stuck around.
