no sir...Bloody Mary for breakfast. I like this one because they use zing-zang plus load a skewer down with dill pickle, pickled okra, sweet pepper, garden tomato, celery, onion ball, and a fresh gulf shrimp.

perfect 'healthy' vegetable breakfast for 8.99 (plus a healthy shot of vodka but I say that should count as potato)

Perfectly matching the women's sandals next to the towel.

hey, they may be...they were 4.50 Walmart clearance. I don't take anything nice to the beach as it's just going to get covered in sand/salt. The towel is from the hotel room.

flying back to Mempho today.

I think that's about what it will be

You're basically saying yeah we'll lose our 5 toughest games and 1 other one.

I think the team has to win a couple of those tough games just because of out-talenting the other team.

I do too, but I also think they drop a head scratcher or two on the road due to being young.

Yeah, with that record we would get about a seed in the 8-12 range which would make it very difficult to get to the Sweet 16.

even with my original projection 24-7 + 3-0 AAC Tourney would make Memphis 27-7 with wins OOC over Georgia, NC State, and Ole Miss along with some solid Ws in AAC play.

I'd say 6-7 seed.

Quad 1 wins is their new basis for seeding. Quad 1 wins are teams ranked 1-30 at home, 1-50 on a neutral and 1-75 on the road.

With your projected record we would have the following possible quad 1 games:
Quad 1 games: Oregon, NC State (iffy), UTK, Cincy (home), Cincy (away), Houston (home), Houston (away)

So you have us going 3-4 in possible quad 1 games. More likely it will be 2-4 because NC State will have to be top 50. Cincy and Houston would have to be top 30 if they aren't we would be 0-4 in quad 1 games.

Last year teams with similar quad 1 wins were:
UCF - 23-8, 2-5 quad 1, 9 seed
St. Mary's - 22-11, 2-6 quad 1, 11 seed
Furman - 25-8, 1- 5 quad 1, NIT

I predict Memphis will lose 3, at most.

They'll go to the Final Four.

My dream has them winning the NC.

Yeah, we aren’t losing every tough game. It’s baffling to me that people think we’ll have a losing record against the tough teams. In doing so they are making Houston, Cincinnati, UT, Oregon more than what they are. Are they good teams? Yes. But not world beaters. Also, they are undervaluing what we have.

Adding NC State to that group, I say we win 4 or 5 of those seven games.
We had Cincinnati beat twice last year and blew it down the stretch. We have a way way better team than we had last year. And Cincinnati had better talent last year than they have this year.

The U of Memphis is a more realistic approach. Do we even know how bad Wiseman's ankle is? What about Damien Baugh? He went down pretty hard last night. Anyone know his status? Is Malcolm reshirted and out for this season? Not really worried about Tyler's shooting from last night. He went "0" ?? then came back the next game and made 6 or 7 last year. I can see Maurice making some 3s when James is in the game.
We didn't get much of an answer last night. We'll have a better view after the Oregon game. I hope James has fully recovered by then. GTG

5-7 losses but a couple will be head scratchers due to the number of freshmen and sophomores that play big minutes.

I think many in this post are equating our talent level to something like the sophomore JJ, CC, etc Pastner teams when in reality our talent level is more like the 05-06 and 06-07 teams. I think 05-06 is probably best comparatively

PG: Dwash> Tyler/Alo
SG: Freshman Antonio Anderson roughly equal to our freshman SG combo
SF: Carney/CDR>DJ
PF: Precious>Shawne Williams
C: Wiseman > Dorsey.

Yeah I’ve thought about that team as well. That was a young team except for Carney (senior). However, I’m not sure I completely agree with your player comparisons.

Freshman DJ could be better than freshman CDR (partly due to opportunity). I’ll give Carney the upper hand as a senior, but Jeffries seems like the real deal.

Darius was more of a scoring PG (decent comp to Boogie). A Lo and Tyler could be coming off the bench so your comp for them would be a backup guard.

Our guards are probably better offensively than Anderson, but he’d likely have a pretty good advantage on defense.

This team has a lot of depth (especially if all of our bigs are available). Would have to look, but I would imagine 2019 has the advantage off the bench.

I think we go to UT undefeated and thats our first loss. I think a win in Portland over Oregon will inflate the ego of the team a bit as we will be around #5 by the time the UT game rolls around....

I think we end up with 4 losses total and a 3 seed without a small chance at a 2

That would give us 3 losses in conference. Which would win the conference.
04-cheers How about we win 14 straight and lose at Wichita State? I’d rather lose at Wichita St. than lose to UT. As I hate UT.

Feeling glass half full today, so I'm going to say we drop the games @Oregon, either @Cincy or @Houston, get upset in the championship game of conference tournament before going on to an elite 8 run. We finish the season 34-4 ranked #8.

Please note that I am never right.
