UH giving game away.

Watching this game, I would be worried about the SMU deep passing and defensive pass rush against UC. Not much else, however.

SMU won't be in the conference championship game. They are going to lose a couple.

SMOO crapping the bed. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk.

SMU escapes with a win. Holgie teases the homers with a chance to win the game at the end. I still say Memphis is the team to beat in the west.

As funny as it would have been to watch them lose to Team Dysfunction, it was good for SMU to hold on. We need to all stay as highly rated as possible.

I hope SMU wins out because we can take them. Their defense misses A LOT of tackles. And where we both had trouble, we finished off Houston in the end and they let them back in.

I too thought Houston's uniforms were tacky. Was the lettering supposed to be a retro look, or was it just generic lettering and an unimaginative design? And the white helmet with black graphics with all black just didn't cut it. Few, if any teams, execute the all black as well as UC.

I saw about 25% of the game. Much like our matchup with Houston, the Cougars showed flashes of brilliance on offense and defense but just can't deliver the knockout blow. SMU was fortunate to leave that rain soaked field with a win but it was better for the American and will keep at least two teams ranked again for next weekend's games.

I'd like to see them lose 1 so we have a chance to get them at Nippert. If we both win out, I think they host the Championship game because we have the loss to O$U and I think total record is up there in the tie breakers.

SMU is a bit of a fraud IMO. They are going to get a mud hole stomped in them their next game at Memphis.

That will be an interesting game. I think it depends on which Memphis team shows up. However, i would think at Memphis Smu will have their hands full. Houston gave them that game last night with the bad turnovers. Holgorsen's kid has no business in there at qb.

He played the week before due to an injury to Tune, but I'm pretty sure Tune was the guy last night.

Holgerson’s kid and the other guy who threw a backwards pass like a mathlete using the wrong hand were also taking snaps.

I didn't catch this one first time around but if the Kissing Coach loses this game we can move up a notch sitting idle.

You got me curious to tune in the OSU game with that post, but it's now OSU up 24-7 at the end of Q3 with OSU driving in Wisky territory. I just don't see anybody taking down OSU -before the playoffs anyway.

update: OSU up 38-7 with the ball in Wisky territory and just running out the clock. Our beatdown by them looks less and less worse every week...

Didn't see that one coming. Ohio State about to put the game away. If Chase Young is not one of the best football players in the nation then I can't prove the sky is blue. That guy will be a force in the NFL.

OSU is the best team in the country right now in my opinion. Very impressive 2nd half in sloppy conditions.

So with #13 Wisky getting spanked and losing two in a row do they fall enough that we rise a notch in the AP?

They look the most impressive and this was supposed to be a huge litmus test until Wisky dropped to the illini last week. After getting blowed out by osu i'm starting to think Wisky is a 15-20 range team. Still a good team but i don't know if osu will receive an actual challenge until psu and they just look ok.
