2020-2021 AAC Football Scheduling Released

Kind of disappointing we don't play Memphis or Houston in 2021, but that could bode well for us if we manage to beat Notre Dame.

RE: 2020-2021 AAC Football Scheduling Released
I feel like we have played Tulsa every season so far in the AAC...is that right?

As for Memphis, I'm not as disappointed, seeing as how we'll both likely be working out new HC's by then, so there's no telling if that would be a good game or not.

I've scrubbed one of those years from my mind with a non-diluted solvent, so that makes sense.

We've played Tulsane every year, so I get the confusion.

Tulsane. Every year. Sometimes twice.

Ending the season with 4 straight road games two years in a row. That's brutal.

I'm just glad we don't have to play UConn anymore. If ECU gets its act together we will have a nice SOS going forward.

No the dates for the league games are all to be determined; we will not have four straight home games.

There are no Ohio State's on next year's schedule.

Win the Cotton Bowl this year, go undefeated next year, and we get to complain when the committee does not put us in the top four.

RE: 2020-2021 AAC Football Scheduling Released
What are the chances we drop Austin Peay for a MAC or CUSA home and home series? No UCONN on the schedule but that FCS game is just as bad and one the cynics will point to as a flaw in our scheduling. I'd rather have a road game against WKU, App State, Toledo or the like in the future if it means no Austin Peay at home this year.

Edit: from a quick glance, Middle Tennessee looks to be the only G5 school who still needs a 2020 OOC road game. I wouldn't be opposed to scheduling a home and home with them. We can go on the road there in 2022. I'm sure UC scheduling is smart enough to know that Austin Peay game looks bad and is trying to find alternatives.. the only way it causes a problem for us is if we go undefeated and our schedule gets dissected.

We're not going to play less than 6 home games...that's a money loser for UC. Find a home and home that fits and prevents that from happening and I'm sure they'd be open to it. These FCS games are gap fillers for when we don't have enough P5 home and home (or top G5 home and homes). Think of them as the flipside of our one off game at ND or Michigan.

RE: 2020-2021 AAC Football Scheduling Released
Honestly, with UConn gone I could see literally any team in the conference being a contender if things go right for them. A lot might hinge on which coaches get poached, if any. So it's pretty hard to say who I hope we play and who I hope we miss. About the only definitive thought is not having to travel to ECU is a good thing. So that's a positive for 2020 and a negative for 2021.

True but look at the easy start to 6-2 or 8-0
