Judge won’t toss Chicago’s lawsuit against Jussie Smollett
Quote:A federal judge denied on Tuesday a request from the actor Jussie Smollett to throw out a lawsuit against him from the city of Chicago seeking $130,000.

“This will be going forward,” U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall told lawyers during a brief hearing Tuesday morning at the Dirksen Federal Courthouse.

Chicago hopes to recover $130,106 for the investigation it conducted after Smollett in January made the allegedly false claim that he’d been the victim of a racist and homophobic beating.

Lawyers have said they anticipate a short trial in the case, possibly as early as next summer.

He should also be on the hook for all the legal expenses the state now has to absorb in this process too.....

This has been a part of his life now for almost 9 months. Curious to see if he will ever come clean and tell the truth, or is he going to just let his lies destroy everything that he’s worked for.

I think that has pretty much already happened.

As I have said before, if what he reported to have happened actually did, then those responsible should be put in jail; however, when you are lying about what happened to that extreme, you too should be punished in the same manner.

These people who accuse have no repercussions for their actions while the accused are not only guilty until proven innocent, even if they are proven innocent they have a black cloud that hangs over them well after the fact without having done anything wrong in the first place.

It is beyond pathetic.....
