The Niner fans are very active over on the Rivals board. What would it take to get them to migrate to this board? Are they that sold on the Rivals board? I remember the Tigers days on that site and I do not feel it's any better than this board. Come on over ya'll. Pop open a cold one and enjoy the board.

It is my favorite. Rouge's Stout is another great one but it's very heavy so a couple of them will usually be my limit then I have to switch.

The thing about the rivals board is it is run by El Paso Times' reporter Darren Hunt.

He is a UTEP grad and provides or confirms a lot of inside info before it hits the newswaves or print.

I hate the pop ups there, but I don't see a massive migration unless things get really worse. :rolleyes:

As for me, well I'll just have a shiner!

It was started in late April and is still a big hit. Obviously the summer months are a slow time but check out the site and join if you feel like it.

I write all of the articles and with the football season coming up, it will be a great site to be on. I am a recent former student-athlete at UTEP, so dont worry about false info. The site is totally pro UTEP but with a lot of attitude and opinion. Check it out, read the previous articles and hopefully you will like it.

The Rivals boards aren't as "cool" as the IPB or VB boards, because they don't have all the bells and whistles, but the thing that keeps people over there is two-fold.

1. It's not just a message board...it's a complete site with the latest breaking news on the particular team. Now granted, UTEP's site doesn't provide much news because Hunt can't report there, but most Rivals sites give the most info anywhere on there team.

2. The experts/media are usually on those boards and cane give out/confirm news before anyone else, i.e. Hunt at MinerDigs, Crabtree at OUfans, Brian Gates at GoPowercat, etc.

Also, Rivals just released a "Search" tool for the subscribers. You can search all of Rivals, just a particular site, or the message boards.

I'm dying for Rivals to get a LA Tech site.

All you have to do is e-mail them if your willing to run a La Tech rivals board they will be happy to let you do it.
